April is here, and you already know what that means—new goals, fresh adventures, and beautiful spring energy.
They say April showers bring May flowers, and honestly, this season feels exactly like that for me: growth, reflection, and stepping into exciting new chapters.
The older I get, the more I realize how much I truly love collecting experiences over everything else.

Last weekend, I stepped into nature mode and headed to the Bamboo Forest, where I definitely got a little lost 😅, but honestly… it made the adventure even better. The peaceful scenery, the towering bamboo, and the quiet sounds of nature made every step worth it. Now let me tell you—the hike is no joke at all. Your girl was tested, but I made it through and absolutely loved every minute of it.

Next up was Arabia Mountain, one of Georgia’s hidden gems known for its ancient granite landscape and peaceful scenic views. I spent time doing a little meditation at the top, soaking in the breeze and reflecting on life. My legs were definitely sore after all that walking, but my spirit felt refreshed.

🍜 Birthday Vibes at Bar of Thailand

The adventures continued with a birthday celebration at Bar of Thailand for a friend’s special day.
The space was cute, elegant, and gave the perfect fancy vibe. The food was delicious, the customer service was amazing, and while it was a little pricey, it was definitely worth it for the full experience.
📚 March Book Club Pick: Alabama Edition
Our March book club read was Death on Eat Street by J.J. Cook, and it was such a good one.

For our 50 States Book Club Challenge, we’re reading books themed around each state, and this month’s story took us to Alabama.

This book kept me fully interested from beginning to end—I finished it in just two days. If you love cozy mysteries, definitely add this one to your list.
We meet on Zoom once a month, so if you’d love to join the book club, come read with us.
📣 April Blog & Ad Specials
This month I’m also running blog specials and ad specials for both Where It Begins and Cece in the City.
For $100, you can promote your business, products, events, or services and get your name in front of a growing audience.
I’m also excited to share that Where It Begins now covers weddings and travel, and after 8 years of growth, I’m so grateful to keep expanding.
🎬 Movie of the Week: Beyond the Lights
This week’s movie rewind is Beyond the Lights.

Even though it’s an older movie, rewatching it reminded me how much I love stories about love, growth, and having someone in your corner who pushes you to be better.
