| Book: Make It Rain Author: Areva Martin with Donna Beech By: Cece Hymes Just got finished reading the book “Make It Rain”. This book was about Media and branding. It teaches you how to pitch, network and brand yourself in the media. It was great tips in the book about interviews and getting into those doors. She mentioned a lot of people in the book that have a lot of followers and how they got to where they are on their social platforms. She also let you know not to count social media out. There are millions of people on social media that use the platform every day. Some of the tips that I really highlighted was: . Content Strategy .Monetizing .How your content looks on your social media .Pitching .Trending Not in that order but some good tips on these topics. I love the name of the book “Make it Rain” because it’s talking business. It’s like promoting yourself and making that money. Even when I see that I think about making those connections, branding, and partnering with the right people. I definitely need to follow more people in my brand and get my social media together.
