    Panama City Beach, FL

    By: Cece Hymes

I had a chance to go to the beach with some friends and have some fun. It was my birthday as usual I got to be somewhere with some water. We had a great time. We ate a lot of Crab legs. We went to an all you can eat buffet with crab legs, seafood and more.

We also went to ClubLaVela, which was really nice. While we were there Bone Crusher came to perform all the way from Atlanta GA. The place had so many different levels and parts you could go to. Nice big TV outside with a pond and just real classy and nice.

The Beach was nice and beautiful. Great place to go out with your friends and enjoy just experiencing the different beaches in FL is nice and they have clear water beaches. Once you experienced nice water you would go back for me. September was a great month to go.

Thankful for great friends and great vibes. Also came back here for a family trip and we did wonderworks and different activities. We enjoyed the indoor pools and hot tubs. Panama City Beach is not too far from Atlanta. It’s a nice place to getaway for the weekend if you want to relax, enjoy the beach and it has a lot of entertainment for family and friends.

Have you ever been? If so, how was your experience? Where did you stay?

  • The Southern Pedaler

The Southern Pedaler in Atlanta GA

    By: Cece Hymes

I had a chance to experience the Southern Pedaler in Atlanta GA with some friends. The Southern Pedaler is a party bike where you pedal, and it seats maybe 15 people. It takes you through downtown Atlanta and it stops at a couple bars and eating places. We get a certain amount of time to get out and enjoy and be back to the bike. It has music on there. It was cool and different.

Just think of being on a bike with a lot of people laughing, listening to music, and enjoying a nice day downtown in Atlanta watching the scenery. We stopped at Harry Bakes, we experienced the wine bar, the taste bar, and we went to other places also we stopped maybe 3 to 4 places downtown. It’s very fun for a group of friends. You can also go at night. They have LED lights on it.

It was fun and different. I would definitely do it again but in another city so I can see how their city and town is. To experience their downtown. Atlanta has so much to do in this city you can never get bored. You just have to get out and find out where things are and what’s going on. Stay hip to the town. Also, they have a couple of these different bike rides in Atlanta. This one that we tried was really good and the host was very nice and good also. A lot of laughter and fun.

Have you ever experienced a bike ride like the pedalar? If so, how was your experience?

  • Interview with Anna Black

    Interview with Anna Black

    By: Where It Begins

    Q. Tell us about Anna Black?

    A. Well I am a mom; I have one daughter who is now 22. I am originally from Chicago, born and raised and I have been living in Texas for a little over twenty-two years. I am not a full-time author just yet; my day job is Hotel/Hospitality management. I am a GM at a Wyndham property currently.

    Q. Who or what influenced you to be an author?

    A. Oh wow, I always had a love of reading, and I can’t say that anyone actually had an influence on me becoming an author, but a divorce from my first husband prompted me to write my very first book. After I had completed my fourth novel, I shared it with some friends, and they all encouraged me to pursue publishing.

    Q. What is one of your greatest experiences?

    A. Walking into a Walmart and seeing my book on the shelf. It was so gratifying, and I think other than becoming a mom that is one of the greatest moments.

    Q. Who is your favorite author?

    A. Brenda Jackson

    Interview with Lerazia

    By: Where It Begins

    Q. Tell us who Lerazia is?

    A.  LeRazia, is a driven woman. Outgoing, friendly, kind and caring vibe. A motivator. A goal getter, and most importantly a mother.

    Q. What or who inspired you to do fashion and be an author?

    A. When I was in high school, I was inspired by a lot of the new decade designs. Coming into the early 2000s there were a lot of new trends popping. There was always a hot book being passed around. I just wanted to be a part of Triple Crown Publications.

    Q. Tell us about your company “Petite with Curves”?

    A. Petite with Curves was inspired by myself and a few of my friends who desire a different taste in clothing. There is always an issue finding either small clothes or larger clothes that are stylish. So, I decided to hand make my own. Something that would continue to make me and the rest of the world unique.

    Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

    A. A designer in DC and/or New York Fashion week!! And I will speak it into existence until I am there.

  • Interview with Darius Slaughter

    Interview with Darius Slaughter

    By: Where It Begins

    Q. Tell us who Darius the author is?

    A. That may actually be the hardest question I’ve gotten thus far. Let’s see: Mind west born, Third Coast raised, the fat kid who was overlooked and ignored, all district football player, National Merit Scholar, etc., and so on. On the flip side an ‘in-house bastard’- my pops remarried and decided I wasn’t necessary- so by JR year I had an 18-man crew and was a ghost. Now at 47 after multiple indictments, over half a decade in suspended animation and having enjoyed the best and survived the worst life has to offer I would simply say I am a survivor.

    Q. Tell us about your book “Hostile”?

    A. Hostile is a non-biased look at my last 7 years in the game it is neither a glorification nor a knock, but rather an intelligent look-a window if you will-into the complex world that comprises the darker side of society. HOSTILE provides an uncut, raw look at my decisions, my mental motivations, and the consequences and repercussions of said decisions.

    Q. What advice can you give to other authors?

    A. Believe in yourself and your vision and dedicate the time and energy into making your dreams a reality. As your project grows, know that support will come and go but success is solely in your hands.

    Q. Where can we get your book?

    A. The hardcopy and EBook are available on Amazon. Com under Hostile: An Urban Tragedy. For an autographed copy and more visit my website www.hostilebook.com

  • Traveled to Cancun

    Traveled to Cancun

    By: Cece Hymes

I had a chance to go to Cancun with some friends. I had a great time. I love beaches and the beach there was so nice. I know I don’t speak their language, so some things were hard to understand from some people that we met there. We did get a chance to meet some people from Canada which was nice, and we still keep in touch with them. When we went to Cancun we got on the ATV, Ziplining, and we also jumped in the cave. I can’t remember what kind of cave it was, but it was cold and deep and kind of scary.

Let me tell you the story, so this was my first time on the ATV. I didn’t think to look at the gas engine, but I was in the middle of woods following everyone and I was towards the back, and it ran out of gas. OMG lol. I was glad it was 2 people behind me that waited until someone came back to help me. Now that was a moment. We also got a chance to eat at the different restaurants on the resort and go out to the club they had. It was a mixture of different people from all over the world. I was glad to have some friends that are adventurous and don’t mind trying new things.  It did rain one time out there, but we still enjoyed the resort. The beach was relaxing but there were a lot of different animals that I never saw before coming up trying to get food.

This vacation was much needed, and I would love to go back and see more of their country. Such an experience.

  • Traveled to Grand Turk, Turk, Bahamas, DR, Amber Cove and Half Moon Cay

Traveled to Grand Turk, Turk, Bahamas, DR, Amber Cove and half Moon Cay

    By: Cece Hymes

My second cruise I went on was with Carnival. The First one was Royal, this one was with Carnival. I think Carnival is more of a fun ship. Royal is laid back like a family ship. On this cruise we went on a tour. The camels were out walking up to us lol. The water was beautiful, and it was hot. I couldn’t enjoy the trip like I wanted to because of the company I had with me. Sometimes you have to take trips with people you know that like some of the things you like and want to have fun. I relaxed and just enjoyed the water.

I always take a trip on my birthday to go somewhere different. Cruises are fun but I actually love going to the resort. Once I am on the boat after a couple days I be wanting to be off the water. Don’t get me wrong, on cruises you do have things to do. We watched the game shows, played games with others, and we also went to the casino on the boat. You know I always get souvenirs because it’s cheaper and the money is different.  I know it is hot over there, but the beach is very beautiful.

Make sure you take them on vacations and enjoy life. I know carnival is more like a party cruise and royal more laid back but they both are fun and it’s nice to see the different places, they have an island where it seems like it’s just for the tourists. On the Island it had volleyball, water events like snorkeling and canoeing. If you have never been on a Cruise, you have to experience it at least once. They are making new ships with more on it to do and more fancy. Can’t wait to see what these new ships look like.

Have you been on Cruise? How was your experience? Which cruise line did you go on?

  • Allow your past to heal you

Allow your past to heal you

You’ve become who you are because of every experience you have ever endured- the trauma and the beauty. When you allow it to, your past creates empathy for the experiences of others and an overwhelming sense of possibility for yourself,  your past can heal you and prepare you for a more resilent future, but only if you give it permission to. You can consciously decide how heavy or light you will allow the weight of your past to be.
