    Traveled to Montego Bay, Jamaica

    By: Cece Hymes

Back in 2015 I went to Jamaica for Sumfest. It was 2 of my aunts and 1 of my brothers. It was my first trip to Jamaica and also my first trip with them. Everyone had their own room, and it was an adult resort called Secret wild orchids. When we went there it was so nice. We went at perfect timing. We went for 7 days so I knew we were going to be there awhile and be able to enjoy a nice margarita, nice water and relax.

We went to a couple places while we were here. We went to Margaritaville, which was nice and we got our dance on. We also went to Rick’s Café, Bob Marley Park, and all over. My aunt has friends there so they took us around to see the high class, mid class and poor class. If you don’t know what Sumfest is, it’s when a lot of people come and perform with a lot of reggae artists. We got a chance to meet Beenie man, Jesse Royal, Common and his band. The people were so nice. The Resort had about 7 or more different food places, club on the resort. We were by two other resorts, so it seemed combined. Everyone kind of did their own thing but we did do family dinners and things like that together. I love the water, so I stayed in the pool and beach relaxing with my Pina Colada lol.  The Resort was fantastic, no kids, all adults.

I definitely have to go back but if you have never been please go and have fun it’s nice and worth the trip. The money value is different there, so it was cheaper to get things. I wish I would have started travelling earlier but as the saying goes better late than never. I like actually going to the resorts for vacations. You get so much more. Everything is included into your package: the meals, drinks, and other things they have. Trust me it’s a big difference.

Tell me your experience. Have you ever been to Jamaica? Where did you stay? What are some things you did?

    Traveled to Bahamas, Nassau

    By: Cece Hymes

Back in 2014 was my first cruise. I am older now so I wanted to do something different for my birthday so I decided to go on a cruise. 2 of my friends went with me. We did a cruise on Royal Caribbean to the Bahamas. It was nice the water was clear. Very hot but relaxing. We got a chance to visit museums there and shop different places. The money was different, so we had to get souvenirs for the family.

I haven’t seen one of my friends since 9th grade, so I was excited to see her and vibe. The boat had nice different things going on. Food was good, we danced and also got a chance to meet some other people on the boat. The boat went to a couple places and back. Just looking at all that water and relaxing in the sun. This was a good experience and glad that I was able to go. We went Jet Skiing for the first time. Now that was fun and scary. My body was sore when I was done lol. I was squeezing tight so I would not fall off when hitting those waves.

We ported from Miami Fl, So we were able to go to the beach there and look around. To see how Miami was. I have to go back there and stay a couple of days, but I enjoyed the time we did stay. I told myself from this day on every birthday I have to take a trip and go somewhere and see the world. Even if it’s a new state, country, just go see more than where you live.

Tell me what your first experience was on a cruise? What Cruise line did you travel on? Where did you go?

  • Living the good life

    Living the good life

A good life is not something that just happens to you. You choose it as much as it chooses you.

You decide to live well every day with every single decision you make. You love. You dream. You get up.
You try again. And maybe again. You stand tall. You shift. You grow. You create.
Because you made the conscious choice to live a good life. To live well-whatever that means to you.
