  • Los Angeles, California

    Title: Los Angeles California

    By: Cece Hymes

Finally, I was able to go to Los Angeles. Wow what a site to see. I had so much fun. I was able to see so much over there. Let’s start with some of the great sightseeing places they have. First we went to:

Hollywood Walk of Fame: This was nice. It’s like a strip of stores and the hustle down there is real. Everyone outside with a hustle, selling something trying to get that dollar. I found a couple of names on the stars. Now the traffic is bad, you are moving 5 miles per hour lol. It is the strip but there is a lot to do on the strip. Glad to be able to experience this.

Santa Monica Pier: Now this was nice also the beach was nice the pier was nice a lot of people. We had to get some funnel cake from there. The hustle was real, there were a lot of people listening to music dancing to the groove. One man was walking and dancing off a song he made about tacos. Now that was funny. The sunset was beautiful.

In-N-Out Burger: Now the burger was good here they just don’t offer a lot I was still hungry. They only have this place on the west side and had to try it out to see what the hype was all about. I can say I would definitely come back here and get a burger that had a lot of cheese on it. Burgers are good.

Hollywood Sign: Now this was an experience. We didn’t get all the way to the sign but we got really close. It was nice enough. We always see the sign in the movies so it was exciting to say Hollywood Hollywood. I was glad to experience this and go to this. It is really nice to see at night and how the town lights up.

Long Beach: When I went to Long beach now we went to Yard House over there, Saw the cruise ship and they have a lot of outlet stores. A lot of nice restaurants and places with patios. They have live bands out there and a lot of bars. This is a nice place to enjoy also.

Here are just the top 5 places that I enjoyed while I was in LA. Now the 3 hour difference got me some days. I had to get used to that. My trip was great and well worth it. If you have never been to LA the experience is well worth it. Get out, enjoy and see the scenery. I can’t wait to go back. I do know it’s expensive to live there but depending on what you are doing career wise this could be the place for you.

  • Roscoe’s House Chicken N Waffles

Restaurant: Roscoe’s House Chicken N Waffles

    Where: California

    By: Cece Hymes

Finally got a chance to go to LA. Wow what a site to see. Everyone always talks about when you go to LA make sure to go to visit Roscoe’s. They say that the chicken and waffles was so good, something like how Gladys Knight Chicken and Waffle was.

Roscoe’s House of Chicken N Waffles is a soul food restaurant founded by Herb Hudson in 1975. It became famous because Hudson was friends in Motown and T.V. who spread the word to other celebrities.

So, I finally experienced the place. Now the chicken was banging. The chicken was really good and the waffles were, but waffle house waffles is better. I got two sides when I went. Now those sides were not hitting on anything. Like the saying goes, you better stick with what they are famous for.

It’s a big hype about Roscoe’s but they definitely need to season their sides more especially because it’s like soul food and a lot of people go visit.

Glad to experience the food and the hype again. The chicken was very good and I cannot take that away from them. So, if you ever are in LA make sure to experience it.  Everyone loves chicken. This is a great place to go for chicken.
