From Then to Now: Pulling Up for the Mako Girls 💫🎤

Hey readers,

This past weekend, I had to step out and show love to the Mako Girls—and if you know me, you already know Cece had to pull up!

But let’s take it back for a second…

A Full-Circle Moment

Around 2016–2017, I first met the Mako Girls at one of our events. They were young, full of energy, and already hitting the stage, singing and working the crowd like true performers. Even back then, you could feel they had something special.

Now fast forward nearly 10 years later… and wow. ✨

They’re still going strong, still grinding, and still evolving. Watching that kind of consistency and growth over time is inspiring—not just as a blogger, but as someone who truly appreciates the journey behind the spotlight.

More Than Just a Moment

Over the years, our paths have crossed in so many ways. I’ve had the chance to interview them, feature them in Where It Begins Magazine, and continue to watch them level up in real time. That’s what makes moments like this so special—it’s not just support, it’s history.

So when I heard they were doing a meet & greet and CD signing at DBS Sounds, I already knew I had to be there. I grabbed a CD, got a poster, and just took a moment to soak it all in. Time really does fly.

Watching the Growth

From performing at Atlanta Hip Hop Day to hosting their own glow parties (yes, I’ve been to one and it was a whole vibe 🔥), the Mako Girls have been putting in work and building their brand step by step.

And let me tell you—this isn’t overnight success. This is years of dedication, passion, and believing in themselves even when the journey wasn’t easy.

Cece Had to Pull Up!

You already know how I move—I love supporting people who support me. The Mako Girls have shown love over the years, so it was only right I came through and showed it right back.

Because that’s what Cece in the City is all about—community, connection, and celebrating people doing their thing. 💕

Looking Ahead

I’m beyond proud of these ladies. Watching their journey over the last decade has been nothing short of amazing, and I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings for them.

Big congratulations to the Mako Girls on everything they’ve accomplished so far!

Make sure y’all go follow them, stream their music, and stay tapped in. Trust me… you want to say you’ve been rocking with them.

Because over here?
We’ve been watching greatness grow. ✨
