Michael Jordan is a businessman and a former basketball player. He is one of the greatest players as people call him the goat. He has inspired so many people all over the world. He has accomplished a lot in his career.

Michael Jordan was a 5x MVP in his career. Did you know he became a NASCAR team co-owner? MJ has made millions off his shoes and from partners such as Nike, Hanes and Gatorade. Jordan owns the Charlotte Hornets and he will show up to some games to support.

I got to give him his roses today for being MVP and inspired the world with his talent. So many players have looked up to him for support and watched all his moves to be the best that you can be.

I can go on about MJ but here is a couple of quotes by him:

“Limits, Like fears, are often just an illusion”

“I can accept failure, everyone fails at something, but I can’t accept not trying”

“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win Championships”

  • Atlanta Botanical Garden

    Place: Atlanta Botanical Garden

    Where: Atlanta GA

    By: Cece Hymes

I had a chance to do one of the things on my Atlanta Bucket list. We had a family day and went to the Botanical Garden in Atlanta. It was beautiful. We saw different exhibitions. Here are some that we checked out.

Trolls: Save the Hymans by Thomas Dambo: It was an Exhibition of enormous folklore inspired sculptures built from reclaimed materials. Trolls in the garden blend art, nature and its beauty.

Orchid Daze: The garden annual indoor plant exhibition explores several murals by inventive artists that enhance the breathtaking blooms. It was so beautiful and breathtaking. Just the view by itself.

Atlanta Blooms:  The visual of tulips. They were so beautiful and bright. Just right for the spring and nice weather. All the species of tulips plants are so beautiful.

This place was well worth it, and I have to try it out during Christmas with all the lights. If you are in the Atlanta area, check out the Botanical Garden, it is worth the sight.  I can now check this off my Atlanta bucket list. It felt like I was in a rainforest and beautiful gardens in a special place.

If you love nature and flowers and just want to get out and enjoy Atlanta check them out. Also Make sure to Follow me @Cece.Atl.

    Sugar Ray Leonard

    By: Cece Hymes

Sugar Ray Leonard is a professional boxer, motivational speaker and actor. He is one of the greatest boxers of all time.  He won a lot of medals. His speed was like no other, he was fast. He is definitely one of my favorite sports icons. He inspired a lot of other boxers.

He is also the founder of the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting type 1 diabetes, a condition that Leonard himself was diagnosed with.  He also has a boxing center in Prince George’s county, Maryland which serves as a training facility for young athletes. The Sugar Ray Leonard Boxing Center provides a safe and supportive environment for kids to develop their skills, both in and out of the ring.

Some of the quotes that I liked by him:

“I’m not religious, but I believe that what I have is a gift, and I respect it and live up to it”

“Boxing is the ultimate challenge. There is nothing that can compare to testing yourself the way you do every time you step in the ring.”

“If you never know Failure you will never know success.”

I definitely got to give him his roses today. He has inspired so many people all over the world. And he is still doing a lot in the community.

     Muhammad Ali

    By: Cece Hymes

Muhammad Ali was a professional boxer. They called him “The Greatest” heavyweight boxer of all time.

He was definitely one of our favorite sports icons.  Did you know that Muhammad Ali fought Joe Bugner for the first time. He was gifted a bedazzled, Elvis styled robe from Elvis Presley himself. Muhammad Ali was never one to back down from a fight? His legacy  will be remembered forever. Here is some of quotes By him:

“Don’t quit-suffer now, and live the rest of your life as a champion.”

“Every man wants to believe in himself. And every man wants to become fearless. We become heroes when we stand up for what we believe in.”

“Nobody has to tell me that this is a serious business. I’m not fighting one man, showing a lot of em, here is one man they couldn’t defeat, couldn’t conquer. My mission is to bring freedom to 30 million black people.”

I enjoyed the movie Ali, it was good, and Will Smith played his role really well. It showed part of his life journey. If you haven’t checked it out, you should watch it.

My team and I got a chance to do media at this event.  It was a great cause and they met their goal. Got to say congrats to Yusaf Baber Foundation along with 21 reasons to give. A lot of people came out to show their support and to play a great tournament in bowling.

I should have got out there and shown them my skills. lol  They had some special guests such as Ms. Juicy, Teddy Riley, Damion Hall, Derez Deshon, Mendeecees and many more.  Glad to be invited and can’t wait for the next one.

Again congrats to Yusuf and Josh Powell on their accomplishments and doing great things in the community.
