    One of Lathan’s most notable roles was in the movie “Love & Basketball,” where she played the lead role of Monica Wright. The film was a critical and commercial success, and Lathan received praise for her performance. She is talented and has inspired many people through her roles in films.

    Nichelle Nichols was an actress, singer, and dancer best known for her portrayal of Nyota Uhura in Star Trek and its film sequels. She loved attending conventions and meeting her fans. She inspired a lot of people by opening doors for them, removing barriers and cherishing her family, friends and fans. Here are some of the films she was in:

    Did you know that Natalie Cole pledged the Upsilon chapter of Delta Sigma Theta sorority. A lot of people always talked about how pretty her eyes were. She was a great singer following in her father’s footsteps. She had hard times and turned to drugs. As always, we have to pray for others. We never know what people are going through. Thankful for the memories and her music that she left with us.

    Dorothy Dandridge was an actress, singer, and dancer. She is the first African American film star to be nominated for the Academy Award for best actress, which was for her performances in Carmen Jones. Did you know that Dorothy was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Porgy and Bess. She was also recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Here are some of the films she was in:

    Dorothy Dandridge also was a singer and was a very beautiful woman. She sang at venues such as the Cotton Club and the Apollo. When she was young her and her sister toured the United States and they were called “The Wonder Children” later they were renamed “The Dandridge Sisters.  Here are some of my favorite quotes by her:

    I am a bookworm, but I haven’t had a chance to read any of her books. If you are a fan, check out some of her books and let me know what you think. It’s so sad that so many entertainers overdose and have so many addictions, depression and demons. We have lost so many legends. Thankful for great memories and the impact they left with us.  Halle Berry played Dorothy Dandridge and did a wonderful job.

    Naomi Judd was an actress and singer. She and her daughter Wynonna formed the duo known as the Judd’s which became very successful. They won five Grammys and nine Country Music Association awards. Did you know she was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in 1990 and cured eight years later. One of her highlights in life that she spoke on was when  former president George H.W. Bush asked her to introduce him at his rallies during his campaign for re-election. Here are some of her songs:

It was sad when she passed away. Depression and mental health are real. We never know what someone is going through. We have to pray for everyone. Even though she went through anxiety, depression and more. She  always was doing things in the community to speak on it to maybe help others going through the same thing.     Kirstie Alley was a great actress. She was known for acting in the NBC sitcom Cheers, for which she received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe. I really started watching her when she was on Look Who’s Talking and Look Who’s Talking too. Those were some great films back in the day.  Some of the films she played on was:
