    I had a chance to read a Cicely Tyson book. It was a great book. I got a chance to get to know her a little bit more and her journey. As you know she was a great actress. She received three Primetime Emmy Awards, four black reel awards, one screen actor’s guild award, Tony award, an honorary academy award and a Peabody award. She was amazing. Here are some of the films she was in:

    She was inducted into the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame in 1977. Did you know when she was born, doctors predicted she wouldn’t make it three months because of a murmur in her heart. We all know that she was a strong woman, and she left a mark in the world. Here are some of my favorite quotes by her:

    Q. Tell everyone who Eden is?

    A. Hi everyone!!! My name is Eden Wood, I’m 15 years old, and basically, I’m just a girl from a small town trying to achieve my dreams and inspire boys and girls around the world to do the same!

    Q. How did you get into acting?

    A. When I was younger, I had actually been in a few short films like the Angry Box, and Appearances can be deceptive where I actually had to learn sign language which was super cool, but the thing that really got me into acting was being in the movie little rascals save the day.

    Q. Tell us about the experience you had playing Darla on “Little Rascals Save The Day”?

    A. Playing Darla was definitely one of the best things to ever happen to me! Being able to leap out and try something new was fabulous! What made it even better was my director, Alex Zam! Before we even started filming, he sat all of the cast down and got to know us which meant a lot! It was such a blessing to be Darla!

    Q. Tell everyone who Pari Z is?

    A. I am a 15-year-old figure skater and all-star cheerleader as well as a model and actress.

    Q. I see you are a Pro Ice Skater. How did you get into that?

    A. My mom was a figure skater when she was younger, and she wanted me to skate as well so as soon as I turned 2, she put me on the ice and I loved it but I was still doing ballroom at the time. I later told my mom that I just wanted to pursue skating and I have been skating ever since.

    Q. What other hobbies do you have?

    A. I act and model. I also like baking and doing makeup.

    Q. What else do you do other than acting and producing?

    A. In 2017. I started my own production company GPS Productions, LLC. 2018 we facilitated several acting workshops under the series name “Connecting the Dots to becoming an Actor”. I look forward to creating films that help to educate, entertain, and empower my audiences.

    Q. Why did you want to become an actress?

    A. I love being a storyteller. From a very young age. I always had a passion for the arts. I feel most alive in front of an audience and a camera, it is truly my happy place. Breathing life into a character is one of the most fulfilling things I do as an actor, and even at times becoming a voice for the voiceless.

    Q. What are some of the projects you worked on in Atlanta?

    A. Well I have completed several television and film projects here in Atlanta. Some of the television shows include: The Vampire Diaries (CW) Saints and Sinners (Bounce TV) and most recently filmed Ambitions (OWN). Some of the films include: Mr. Right (BET), The secret she kept (TV One), The Last Time (Aspire TV) and so many more. My hometown, Atlanta has been very good to me and my acting career.

    Q. Who or what inspires you?

    A. My parents inspire me daily, they are true examples of how hard work produces success, and they instilled that in myself and my siblings from a very young age. They also encouraged us that we could do whatever we set our minds to do, and to always go after our dreams, for these reasons and more I love them dearly.

    Q. What is your favorite album or song right now?

    A. It’s an oldie but a goodie: DIVA by Beyonce, lol. This song actually made it back on my playlist recently. I was really inspired by Beyonce’s homegoing concert film on Netflix, so I have her live album from that concert on repeat right now. Love her old and new songs and her work ethic is amazingly motivating.

    Q. What advice would you give someone that is interested in pursuing an acting career?

    A. As an actor, you should think of your craft as if it is a muscle, the more you work it the stronger you become. All actors continuously get training, in classes or acting coaches, investing in your dream will help to keep you prepared for your big moments. And of course, Never give up!
