A. Hey there, my name is DJ Roots Queen, I am a female DJ based out of Atlanta, GA. I am originally from Tampa Fl, but I have spent my adult life mostly living in Atlanta.
Q. What do you love about being a DJ?
A. O don’t ever have to escape my work to go have a fun time. I have fun at work.
Q. Can you tell us one fun fact about yourself?
A. I am not just a DJ. I produce music as well. My favorite music to produce is dancehall.

A. My name is Brown Shuga, an afro dancehall artist from West Africa, Nigeria.
Q. Who inspired you to pursue a career in music?
A. Growing up for me as a young artist I was inspired by this dude called Bully Banton who I looked up to in the neighborhood who was a reggae dancehall artist at the time.
Q. How would you describe the music you typically create?
A. The kind of music I typically create is a fusion of Afro and reggae dancehall which I call Afro Dancehall.

Interview with Rekha Ananthanpillai

Q. Tell everyone who you are and what you do?
A. I am a business consultant turned fashion designer. Most recently I launched my label, La’Agra. It is a line of women’s evening wear that draws inspiration from my Indian heritage.
Q. How did you come up with the name La’ Agra and what’s the meaning behind it?
A. Agra is a place in India that is the home to a lot of artisanal wear. My brand is about bringing those elements into modern day evening wear for women.
Q. Where do you see your career in the next five years?
A. Eventually I would love to open up a store and maybe even a restaurant. For me, It’s about creating a luxury experience when you wear a La’Agra dress and that is what I want to deliver to my customers.

A. I am a Black gifted and purpose driven male born and reared in Atlanta, Ga. I am a professional musician who uses the saxophone as a tool to inspire others through music and Believing Again.
Q. What has been your greatest accomplishment that you’ve received in your career?
A. Leaving Corporate America in 2019 and being able to pursue music full-time.
Q. If you could perform anywhere in the world, where would it be?
A. I would love to perform in Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates! I’m 70% Nigerian so I want to perform where my roots are and Dubai because it is one of the wealthiest and cleanliest places in the world.

A. My name is Katiucia “Kay” Pierre Louis, and I am the founder of Kplux Shop. Kplux Shop is a fashion-focused brand for women that hopes to connect with audiences from all different backgrounds in meaningful ways.
Q. What made you want to pursue a career in fashion?
A. As a young girl, I loved to dress up and quickly developed a taste for fashion at a young age. I found that my love for fashion could put wine in a position to help women across the globe and I knew that it was my one true purpose.
Q. How do you keep up with the fashion trends?
A. Keeping up with the current fashion trends. I find that I am steadily keeping up with the latest in fashion magazines, actively following fashion trends and moguls on social media, and frequenting boutiques and shops.

Interview with Krishna Chapatwala CEO of Wine Shoe

Q. Tell everyone who you are and what you do?
A. I am a wine shop owner of Wine Shoe in Atlanta Georgia and a chef. Being brought up in India, food was an integral part of my bringing. As a food business owner from 2009 to 2018, I catered many private dinner parties with wine pairings. That experience as well as living in Germany opened my eyes to the importance of wine on the table with food. In 201, I had a life changing trip to Washington State while visiting wineries in that region. That trip solidified my decision to have a brick and mortar in the form of a wine shop. Wine Shoe is a boutique retail wine shop and tasting room in downtown Atlanta, Castleberry Hill neighborhood, we offer private and public classes for wine education as well as walk-in tastings.
Q. Where do you see yourself and business in the next five years?
A. To have multiple locations of the wine shop and continue offering wine club, unique bottles available at our boutique, retail locations and in-house tastings for small and large groups.
Q. Are you working on any new projects or upcoming events?
A. Each month we have tastings to try new varietals and explore regions. Information on all upcoming events can be found on our website. www.wineshoeatlanta.com.

A. My name is Treston Irby, one-fifth of the nineties R&B Platinum Group Hi-Five.
Q. What was some of the challenges you’ve had in your career?
A. There was a lot. Just being on certain tours, living out your suitcases, living in hotels and tour buses. Being young and living out of your suitcase and being on the tour bus, and not spending much time with your family.
