  • PopOut Magazine event!

Last Sunday was a perfect day to get out and experience something new, so my fam and I decided to step out and attend the PopOut Magazine event. It was my first time attending one of their events, and let me tell you—I was not disappointed! The energy was electric, the people were buzzing, and the vibe was nothing short of fabulous.

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of their newest cover featuring the one and only Erica Dixon, alongside Ryan Christopher and Mimi Faust. A huge congrats to all of them for landing the cover and for all the amazing accomplishments they’ve achieved. It’s always inspiring to see people shine in their respective fields, and this trio is definitely doing big things!

One of my favorite parts of the event was the incredible mix of people in attendance. The room was filled with influencers, creators, and movers and shakers from all over Atlanta. There’s something about the Atlanta networking scene that I absolutely love—it’s such a welcoming environment where you can meet new people, exchange ideas, and collaborate on different projects. Everyone was out, dressed to impress, and ready to connect.

For me, events like this are more than just social gatherings—they’re opportunities to grow, expand my circle, and soak in the creative energy that this city has to offer. I’m always looking to meet new people, and Atlanta is the perfect place for that. The conversations were flowing, and I left the event feeling inspired and recharged, with a few new connections to boot.

Overall, it was a fantastic event! I’m so glad we decided to pop out and experience it. If you haven’t been to a PopOut Magazine event yet, I highly recommend it. You never know who you’ll meet or what connections you’ll make. Plus, it’s always fun to celebrate the success of others and be in a room filled with such positive, creative energy.

Looking forward to the next one!

  • Supporting St. Jude

This month, I’m excited to share a heartfelt initiative I’ve been involved with in the community that has truly touched my heart. Recently, I had the privilege of volunteering for a reading challenge organized by St. Jude. This incredible experience allowed me to contribute in a way that combined my love for books with a cause that supports children battling illness.

As part of the reading challenge, I sent personalized cards and heartfelt notes to the young patients at St. Jude. Each note was crafted with care, hoping to bring a smile to their faces and a bit of joy to their day. Writing these notes made me reflect on the power of words and how something as simple as a kind message can offer comfort and encouragement during tough times.

The experience has been so rewarding that I’m eager to expand my involvement. I’m looking forward to finding more ways to connect with the patients at St. Jude and explore additional opportunities to support them. Whether it’s through organizing more reading-related activities, participating in special events, or simply finding creative ways to uplift these brave young souls, I’m committed to making a positive impact.

Volunteering with St. Jude has reminded me of the strength and resilience of these children and their families. It’s been an honor to contribute in any way I can, and I’m inspired to continue my efforts. I believe that every little gesture, every word of encouragement, can make a difference.

As I move forward, I’m excited about the possibilities and look forward to sharing more updates on how we can collectively support such a worthy cause. If you’re passionate about making a difference, consider getting involved with organizations like St. Jude. Together, we can bring hope, joy, and support to those who need it most.

  • Titanic: An Immersive Voyage exhibition in Atlanta.

This month, I had a blast stepping back in time and diving into the glitz and glam of the Titanic with a trip to the Titanic: An Immersive Voyage exhibition in Atlanta. Let me tell you, if you’ve ever dreamed of sailing on the Titanic—or just love a good historical adventure—this experience is your ticket to a voyage like no other!

Imagine this: you’re not just visiting an exhibit; you’re actually embarking on a journey that makes you feel like you’ve stepped onto the legendary ship itself. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re enveloped in the elegance and opulence of Titanic’s bygone era. The lavish décor, the detailed recreations of the grand staircase, and the stunning first-class cabins make you feel like you’re right there, rubbing elbows with high society from the early 20th century.

But wait, it gets even better! The real star of the show is the VR experience. Slip on the headset, and voila—you’re instantly transported to the Titanic in all its glory. It’s like you’re sailing through history, exploring the ship as if you were a passenger. The VR experience brings the Titanic to life in such a vibrant, thrilling way, you might just forget you’re in Atlanta and not actually on the high seas!

What really struck me was how the exhibition doesn’t just dazzle with its grandeur but also touches your heart with personal stories of those on board. It’s a journey through both the splendor and the human side of Titanic’s story, making it a deeply immersive and touching experience.

So, if you’re a Titanic aficionado or just someone looking for a fun and unique outing, this exhibition is a must-see. • What I Wish I Knew by Josh Powell.

This month, I’m thrilled to spotlight and support some of the amazing people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, along with the books they’ve poured their hearts into. As a self-proclaimed bookworm, there’s nothing quite like delving into a great story, especially when you know the journey behind it. That’s why I’m excited to share one book in particular that resonated deeply with me: What I Wish I Knew by Josh Powell.

When I first heard about Josh’s book, I knew I had to get my hands on it. It’s not just because I’m a fan of his work on the court—although his time with the Lakers is certainly impressive—but because of the authentic and heartfelt way he shares his story. This book is more than just a recounting of his basketball career; it’s a window into the life experiences that shaped him into the person he is today.

In What I Wish I Knew, Josh takes us on a journey through his upbringing, shedding light on the challenges he faced and the decisions that led him to pursue basketball at the highest level. He doesn’t hold back in discussing the obstacles and personal trials he encountered along the way, offering readers a raw and unfiltered look at the man behind the athlete. It’s a story of resilience, determination, and the pursuit of greatness, all while staying true to oneself.

I’m particularly proud of Josh for not only writing this book but for having the courage to share his truth with the world. It’s one thing to be known for your talents on the court, but it’s another to open up about the struggles and lessons that come with that journey. His story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of staying grounded, no matter where life takes you.

In addition to reading his book, I had the privilege of featuring Josh in Where It Begins magazine. It was an incredible experience to hear more about his journey firsthand and to share his story with our readers. If you’re looking for a book that offers inspiration, life lessons, and an inside look at the realities of professional sports, What I Wish I Knew is a must-read.

I can’t recommend it enough, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to support Josh in his journey.
