    Day 16: Khujo from Goodie Mob 🎤✨

    I had the awesome opportunity to meet Khujo from Goodie Mob, and let me tell you, these guys are legendary! I’ve seen them perform at various spots around Atlanta, and they always deliver an electrifying show. The energy they bring gets the crowd hyped and ready to dance the night away.

    Each member of Goodie Mob has their own thing going on, with different businesses and ventures, all while continuing to inspire with their powerful voices and music. They are true supporters of the music community, always showing up and backing other artists at events.

    Today, I’m giving them their well-deserved flowers and a huge shout-out for continuing to inspire the world. If you haven’t already, make sure to check out some of their classic hits like “Who’s That Peepin’ in My Window,” “They Don’t Dance No Mo’,” and “Soul Food.” These tracks are timeless!

    Day 15: Backbone of the Dungeon Family

    I had the pleasure of meeting Backbone from the Dungeon Family twice at events here in Atlanta. The Dungeon Family is a musical collective known for their southern hip hop with deep influences. Backbone has been supporting other musical artists and performing around Atlanta. Today, I want to give him his roses and encourage him to keep blessing the world with his voice and helping other artists thrive. Atlanta truly is the place for musical talent!

    For the month of July, I’m excited to highlight some fantastic restaurants and food spots I’ve visited in Atlanta.

    Day 15: Bahama Breeze

    This place is a tropical oasis in the city! I’ve been to Bahama Breeze a few times, and even celebrated a birthday there a year or two ago. The outdoor seating, live music, and delicious food make it a great spot for any occasion. Their pasta and the pineapple bowl are my favorites. The customer service is consistently excellent, and the Caribbean island atmosphere is always a hit.

    One of the highlights of Bahama Breeze is its vibrant and lively ambiance. You instantly feel like you’ve been transported to a Caribbean paradise with the colorful decor, upbeat music, and friendly staff. The outdoor patio, where I celebrated my birthday, is a fantastic spot to enjoy a meal while soaking up the island vibes. The live music adds an extra layer of fun, making it a perfect place for both relaxing dinners and lively gatherings.

    The food at Bahama Breeze is nothing short of amazing. From the creamy pasta dishes to the flavorful pineapple bowl, every bite is a delight. They also have a wide range of tropical drinks that perfectly complement the food and enhance the overall dining experience.

    If you haven’t been to Bahama Breeze yet, you absolutely have to check it out. It’s a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and offers a unique dining experience that will make you feel like you’re on a mini vacation.     I’m thrilled to share my recent visit to the Eastside Boxing Club in Snellville, GA! This gem of a place, helmed by the incredible Rod Bridges, is much more than just a boxing gym—it’s a hub of positivity, empowerment, and community spirit.

    Rod Bridges is a true community hero, dedicating his time to teaching the youth not only how to defend themselves but also how to get in shape, boost their self-confidence, and develop discipline. He runs tournaments and offers mentorship programs, fostering a supportive environment where kids can thrive.

    Day 14: Josh Powell

    I’ve met Josh Powell numerous times in Atlanta at his events. He’s a professional basketball player and coach who played for the Lakers and in the Big 3 league. Recently, he wrote a book about his life called “I Wish I Knew.” Josh is heavily involved in the community, coaching, mentoring, and speaking to the youth through his nonprofit, 21 Reasons to Give.

    Today, I want to give him his roses and remind him to keep pushing forward, inspiring others with his voice. Make sure to check him out and listen to some of his podcast clips where he discusses real-life topics. Keep being amazing, Josh!

    For the month of July, I will be highlighting restaurants and food spots I’ve visited in Atlanta.

    Day 14: Cheesecaked

    Today, I want to talk about a delightful dessert spot called Cheesecaked. This place is a gem with its scrumptious creations made from scratch, offering a wide variety of flavors that will satisfy any sweet tooth.

    The atmosphere at Cheesecaked is charming and inviting, making it a perfect place to indulge in some sweet treats. The decor is colorful and playful, adding to the overall delightful experience. The friendly staff are always ready to help you choose from their extensive menu of cheesecakes and other desserts.

    I had the pleasure of interviewing the owner, Shawn Brown, for my magazine, and I must say, I’m incredibly proud of her achievements. Her passion for creating unique and delicious cheesecakes is evident in every bite. During my visit, I tried the strawberry cheesecake, which was absolutely divine. The rich, creamy texture and the perfect balance of sweetness made it an unforgettable dessert.

    Cheesecaked is not just about cheesecakes; they also offer a variety of other sweets and treats that are equally delicious. It’s a must-visit for anyone who loves desserts and wants to experience some of the best cheesecakes in Atlanta.

    Day 13: Lyfe Jennings

    I’ve met Lyfe a few times in Atlanta, and his music is incredible, with a unique voice that tackles real-life issues. He’s not just a singer but also helps other artists. One of his background singers was a friend of mine who recently passed away; my thoughts are with his family and friends. Lyfe’s active in the community, motivating and inspiring with his voice. He’s spoken at several community events in Atlanta, always bringing a positive and uplifting message.

    I want to give him his flowers today and encourage everyone to listen to his songs like “I Can’t,” “Boomerang,” and “Accusing Me.” His voice is distinct, and his music resonates with real-life experiences.     Throughout July, I’ve been on a culinary journey through Atlanta, and today’s highlight is none other than Long Horn. This spot holds a special place in my heart, having enjoyed their delectable ribs, perfectly cooked steak, and succulent shrimp on multiple occasions. What really sets Long Horn apart, though, is their consistent and exceptional customer service—it’s a testament to their commitment to excellence.

    During my latest visit, I couldn’t resist capturing a moment against the backdrop of the sky, which added a magical touch to the experience. It’s these little details that make dining at Long Horn not just a meal, but a cherished memory. If you haven’t had the pleasure yet, I highly recommend you give them a try. Their menu boasts a variety of dishes that promise to satisfy any craving, ensuring each visit is as delightful as the last.

    For the month of July, I want to highlight some amazing celebrities I’ve met and share the positive experiences I’ve had with them. We’re often bombarded with negative news and drama, so let’s flip the script and focus on the good stuff!

    Day 12: Pooch Hall

    Today, I want to shine a spotlight on the incredible Pooch Hall. I’ve always loved him on the show The Game, and meeting him in person only confirmed what a nice, humble guy he is. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Yusaf Babar Foundation and the 21 Reasons to Give event.

    When Pooch speaks in the community, he always shares positive words and uplifts the youth, helping them understand their self-worth. At various summits and speeches, Pooch passionately discusses mental health—a crucial topic that needs more attention. We all have our tough days, and his openness about mental health is both refreshing and necessary.

    Today, I want to give Pooch his roses and encourage him to keep being himself. His efforts in raising awareness and spreading positivity are truly a blessing. If you haven’t already, go back and watch some episodes of The Game and check out his other movies and shows.

  • The Atrium at Ponce City Market

    For July, I’m spotlighting the best dining spots in Atlanta. On Day 12, I had the pleasure of visiting The Atrium at Ponce City Market with my women’s group. The food was exceptional, and the interior ambiance was just as impressive.

    It was a fun coincidence that my outfit perfectly matched the restaurant’s color scheme, making for some great photos! All the ladies enjoyed their meals, and we had a fantastic time.

    I’ll definitely be returning. If you haven’t tried it yet, you must go. Plus, who doesn’t love Ponce City Market?
