Interview with Jackiem Joyner
By: Where It Begins
Quote: “My greatest accomplishment is my daughter Trinity”
Q. Let’s talk about your single “Dance Again” and the motivation behind the song?
A. Dance Again’ was inspired by my love for contemporary Latin music. I’ve been touring many places, including Mazatlán, Mexico, and Guadalajara, among other places. I wanted to create a dance feel with a hip Latin beat to get people moving. The result is “Dance Again”.
Q. If you could perform anywhere in the world, where would it be?
A. I would love to perform at Times Square! Some might not know that I spent a lot of time growing up in New York. I think performing there would be fun!
Q. Are you working on any new projects or upcoming events?
A. My new single “Say What” is expected to go to radio nationwide. And I’ll be releasing the second episode to my novel “Zarya” this summer!

Book: Uphill
Author: Jemele Hill
By: Cece Hymes
I got a chance to read this book about Jemele Hill about her life and how she got to where she is today. I didn’t know much about who she was. I have seen her a couple of times on social media. I love reading people’s bio and learning about their life. What interests me about her is that she was in journalism and sports.
I am a journalist and getting more into sports. So I wanted to get to know more about her story. The book was very interesting. She went through a lot growing up and watching her parents go through hard times. I like that she speaks her mind freely. She doesn’t fake it for anyone. She always liked to write but never thought she would be into writing for a living. She has been on ESPN and other positions as a reporter.
We all go through things growing up and it’s not where you have been but it’s where you are going and what you decide to change in your life. I am glad she didn’t let her childhood put her in a bad place and that she was aware and kept going in life. This book was great and now that I know more about her life and journey, she has gained a fan with me. I did take some notes and tips on growing and getting more involved with sports and events.
Make sure to check the book out and let me know what you think.

By: Where It Begins
Q. Tell everyone who you are?
A. My name is Christon The Truth Jones. I am an international certified Les Brown speaker, international Best-Selling Author, CEO of Return on Investment, and successful Investor. I show people how to invest and day trade in the stock market. I’ve been investing for 4yr and have spoken on 3 different continents before the age of twelve and was a 2018 youth Entrepreneur of year Nominee for Black Enterprise.
Q. Who or What inspired you to be an international Speaker?
A. What inspired me was when I first saw Les Brown at the age of 9 at a Let’s Get Motivated Seminar. He was the lost speaker on the stage that day, and the way he was able to excite the crowd and the way he told his story was magnificent in his mastery of manipulating the crowd’s emotions. He just inspired me to take action and become the best speaker I can.
Q. What is one of your greatest accomplishments?
A. I don’t have the greatest accomplishment because I can always become better. However, what do people consider my greatest accomplishments is probably my whole image or basically my mission that I’m currently on.
