Sweet Success Story: Cheesecaked – A Dessert Haven in Norcross, GA

Hey, sweet tooth enthusiasts! 🍰✨ March is not just about spring blossoms; it’s Women’s History Month, and we’re shining a spotlight on the delightful world of desserts with none other than Cheesecaked – the ultimate dessert haven nestled in Norcross, GA!

I first stumbled upon Cheesecaked during an interview with the fabulous owner, Shawn Brown, featured in one of our magazine issues. Let me tell you, stepping into this dessert wonderland was like entering a candy-coated dream. The place exuded fun and cuteness, with a lively class in session (because who doesn’t want to learn the art of creating heavenly desserts?).

Now, let’s talk about the real challenge – choosing from the mesmerizing array of desserts, milkshakes, and more. It was a sugar lover’s dilemma! This spot has even made appearances on Good Morning America, People, Food Network, and, of course, Where It Begins (can’t forget our own gem)! The struggle was real, but oh, what a delightful predicament to be in.

For those who share my love for all things sweet, I highly recommend checking out their website at https://www.cheesecaked.com. You’ll thank me later!

A special shoutout to the mastermind behind it all, Shawn Brown. I’ve been following her journey on social media, and let me say, the dedication and hard work are truly inspiring. Here’s to a 2024 filled with even more success and sweet victories for Cheesecaked!

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, let’s raise our forks (or spoons, if you’re more of a scooper) to Shawn and the incredible women leaving their sweet mark on the world. Can’t wait to swing by Cheesecaked again and indulge in some more cheesecake and milkshake goodness! 🎂🥤

Bombing Fun: Conquering Challenges at Beat the Bomb in Atlanta!”

Recently, my girls and I checked off a major item from our Atlanta bucket list – experiencing the adrenaline-pumping adventure at Beat the Bomb in Atlanta, GA. Let me tell you, it was an absolute blast, and we’re so glad we finally took the plunge!

If you’ve ever tried an escape room, imagine that but cranked up with an extra dose of excitement and a sprinkle of games. Beat the Bomb is the perfect blend of teamwork, strategy, and sheer fun. Picture this: a room filled with lasers, a challenge to solve, and a whole lot of moving around – it’s like a dance party, but with a twist!

We faced the ultimate test of teamwork in the room with lasers, and let me confess – it was an exercise for both the body and the brain. There were moments of hilarity as we dodged, ducked, and dove to overcome the laser obstacles. Spoiler alert: we didn’t manage to beat the bomb, and as a result, we got a colorful paint shower. But you know what? It was totally worth it, and we wore those paint splatters like badges of honor!

So, if you find yourself in the Atlanta area and you’re craving a unique and thrilling experience with your family and friends, Beat the Bomb is the place to be. Trust me; you won’t be disappointed – just be prepared to move, laugh, and create memories that will have you talking about it for weeks!

Here’s to conquering challenges and embracing the paint splatters of fun!

Cheers to unforgettable adventures!

Got a chance to do another thing off my bucket list in the Atlanta area. This was great. It shows multiple screen drive-ins located in Atlanta GA. You can see current and upcoming movies. I went to see John Wick, it was a little dark, but you can see everything that’s going on. The movie was great.

One thing I like about this place is that it’s not expensive, you can watch 2 movies for the price of one. Another thing I like is that you can hear it well in your car and bring your own snacks and can talk with other people in the car. The down part is that you have to keep your car running, you don’t want to run your battery dead.  They do sell popcorn and things.

It is definitely something to try out and different. I am glad I was able to try it out and knock something else off my bucket list. Make sure to check it out and let me know what you think. Also, follow me @Cece.atlbucketlist and @Cece.Atl.

I got a chance to go to Kennesaw Mountain which is beautiful. Kennesaw Mountain is a mountain between Marietta and Kennesaw, Georgia with a summit elevation of 1808 feet.  It is the highest point in the core metro Atlanta area.  It has great trails all over the mountain. Its view is nice, and a lot of beautiful birds were out on this nice day.

This was on my bucket list, and I was glad that I was able to go and see the scenery. I want to try different nature walks and mountains. I didn’t go to the top, but the view is great.

Make sure to check it out and let me know what you love about Kennesaw Mountain. Also, follow me @Cece.atlbucketlist and Cece.Atl

I got a chance to check out this Museum. It was nice. It wasn’t that big but a nice size. You can enjoy the collections. Explore the art and history of world cultures from Africa; The Americas; ancient Greece and Rome: and South Asia.

They had Ancient Egyptian, Nubian, and Near eastern art. They had the collections of mummies and talks about the Egyptian funerary masks, finely crafted bronze statuettes of deities.

We saw the Greek Roman Art and it was so unique it had the maps on the floor, they had the Pacific Ocean and more. I thought that was very unique and different. I haven’t seen that in any other Museum.

I love learning about the different cultures and ancient times. If you are interested check out this museum, it is really nice and very interesting. Make sure to follow me at Cece. Atl.

I had a chance to do one of the things on my Atlanta Bucket list. We had a family day and went to the Botanical Garden in Atlanta. It was beautiful. We saw different exhibitions. Here are some that we checked out.

Trolls: Save the Hymans by Thomas Dambo: It was an Exhibition of enormous folklore inspired sculptures built from reclaimed materials. Trolls in the garden blend art, nature and its beauty.

Orchid Daze: The garden annual indoor plant exhibition explores several murals by inventive artists that enhance the breathtaking blooms. It was so beautiful and breathtaking. Just the view by itself.

Atlanta Blooms:  The visual of tulips. They were so beautiful and bright. Just right for the spring and nice weather. All the species of tulips plants are so beautiful.

This place was well worth it, and I have to try it out during Christmas with all the lights. If you are in the Atlanta area, check out the Botanical Garden, it is worth the sight.  I can now check this off my Atlanta bucket list. It felt like I was in a rainforest and beautiful gardens in a special place.
