  • Place: Zoo

    Where: Atlanta Ga

    By: Cece Hymes

Since I have been living in Atlanta, I have been going to the zoo every year. If you don’t know, let me share this secret with you. You can get free tickets to the zoo once a year at the library. Don’t say I never hooked you up lol.

So, me and the family went to the zoo. It was hot out there this year. The animals were just laying around because of the heat. I am thankful that the zoo has those fans and it’s a lot of trees that give a lot of shade. They had the part where you walk around like the aquarium part of it closed and the petting zoo closed. So, we missed out on those two parts of the zoo.

Every year I go I try to bring someone who has never been or hasn’t been since they were young. My aunt went with me this time and she enjoyed it. She Has a disability, but they did have the electric wheelchairs you could rent so she enjoyed that.

The zoo did have some new animals I didn’t see last time I went. I really enjoy going to the zoo in Atlanta so if you haven’t been make sure to check it out.

  • Building Self-Confidence

Self-confidence is an essential attribute that helps individuals in various aspects of their lives, from career success to personal relationships. Having self-confidence means having faith in oneself and one’s abilities, and it is crucial for achieving goals and living a fulfilling life. However, building self-confidence is not always easy, and many people struggle with it. In this blog, we will discuss some effective ways to build self-confidence and embrace your inner strength.

    1. Recognize your strengths:

The first step towards building self-confidence is to recognize your strengths. Everyone has unique abilities and qualities that make them stand out. Make a list of your strengths and skills, and remind yourself of them every day. Celebrate your achievements and accomplishments, no matter how small they may seem.

    1. Challenge negative self-talk:

Negative self-talk can be detrimental to self-confidence. When you constantly criticize yourself, it can be hard to believe in your abilities. Instead of focusing on your weaknesses, challenge negative self-talk by replacing it with positive affirmations. For example, instead of saying, “I can’t do this,” say, “I can do this, and I will succeed.”

    1. Take care of yourself:

Self-care is essential for building self-confidence. Taking care of your physical and mental health can help you feel better about yourself. Get enough sleep, eat well, and exercise regularly. Take time for yourself to do the things you enjoy and practice relaxation techniques, such as meditation or yoga.

    1. Set achievable goals:

Setting achievable goals can help you build confidence by giving you something to work towards. Start with small goals and gradually work towards bigger ones. Celebrate your progress along the way, and don’t be too hard on yourself if you experience setbacks. Remember that setbacks are a part of the learning process.

    1. Surround yourself with positive people:

The people we surround ourselves with can have a significant impact on our self-confidence. Surround yourself with positive, supportive people who encourage you and believe in your abilities. Avoid negative people who bring you down or make you doubt yourself.

In conclusion, building self-confidence is a journey that requires patience, perseverance, and self-love. Embrace your inner strength by recognizing your unique abilities, challenging negative self-talk, taking care of yourself, setting achievable goals, and surrounding yourself with positive people. Remember, self-confidence comes from within, and by believing in yourself, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

  • Summer (Poetry)

    Topic: Summer

    By: Cece Hymes

    It’s almost summer
    Oh how time flies
    It’s getting hot
    But I am not surprised

Got to plan somethings to do
    Hoping and praying
    I get a new boo

    I made a bucketlist
    I can’t wait to try
    Hang out with friends
    And family time

    This summer going be fun
    I know for sure
    Getting out this house
    To live and enjoy

    Oh I can’t wait
    To go swimming
    And rollerskate

Let’s see what this summer brings
    I cannot wait
    For cookouts and funnel cakes

  • Inspired By (Poetry)

    Title: Inspired by…..

    By: Cece Hymes

I like to talk about my grandmother
    And how she inspired me
    She loved to read books
And was as sweet as can be

    I learned to stay positive
And not let much get to me
Because I was inspired by my grandmother
I learned to always be me

I don’t need extra to enjoy the time
Smoking,  drinking, and cursing was unlady like in her mind

Oh how I miss my grandmother today
But I know she inspired me
    In each and every way

    She’s here in my heart
    And in my mind
    She inspired me to know
    No matter what
    I will be just fine

  • Starlight Drive-In Theater

    Starlight Drive-In Theatre

    Atlanta GA

    By: Cece Hymes

Got a chance to do another thing off my bucket list in the Atlanta area. This was great. It shows multiple screen drive-ins located in Atlanta GA. You can see current and upcoming movies. I went to see John Wick, it was a little dark, but you can see everything that’s going on. The movie was great.

One thing I like about this place is that it’s not expensive, you can watch 2 movies for the price of one. Another thing I like is that you can hear it well in your car and bring your own snacks and can talk with other people in the car. The down part is that you have to keep your car running, you don’t want to run your battery dead.  They do sell popcorn and things.

It is definitely something to try out and different. I am glad I was able to try it out and knock something else off my bucket list. Make sure to check it out and let me know what you think. Also, follow me @Cece.atlbucketlist and @Cece.Atl.

  • Kennesaw Mountain

    Kennesaw Mountain

    Atlanta GA

    By: Cece Hymes

I got a chance to go to Kennesaw Mountain which is beautiful. Kennesaw Mountain is a mountain between Marietta and Kennesaw, Georgia with a summit elevation of 1808 feet.  It is the highest point in the core metro Atlanta area.  It has great trails all over the mountain. Its view is nice, and a lot of beautiful birds were out on this nice day.

This was on my bucket list, and I was glad that I was able to go and see the scenery. I want to try different nature walks and mountains. I didn’t go to the top, but the view is great.

Make sure to check it out and let me know what you love about Kennesaw Mountain. Also, follow me @Cece.atlbucketlist and Cece.Atl

  • First (Poetry)

    Title: First

    By: Cece Hymes

    First things first
    We put ourselves first
    Once you learn this step
    We get what we deserve
    And nothing less

    Happiness and joy
    Love and peace
    Thats what we need
    And what to believe

    I want you first
    To open your eyes
    Tell me what you see
    And whats your dream

    This is your year
    I want you to see
You can do anything that you want
    If you just believe

    But first thing first
    You got to start
    Remember everything
    Starts with you
    So just pursue

    This is my first poem
For the year and this is
    Just for you

  • About Me (Poetry)

    Title: About Me

    By: Cece Hymes

    What about me
    That you see
    That makes me special
    And unique

    Is it my mind
    Is it my body
    Is it my soul
Or is it just all 3

    I look in the mirror
And ask what it is about me
I look back and tell myself
    It’s everything

    Your mind is creative
    Your body is an art
    Your soul is deep
    And you ask
    What about me

    So what about me
    I am amazing
    I am beautiful
    And I am unique

    So what about me
If you want to know more
    Come and see
    It’s worth knowing
    What it is about me
