  • 📚 Cece’s Wednesday Book Highlight: Gucci Mane – The Autobiography of Gucci Mane: Episodes

Happy Wednesday, y’all! You already know what that means — it’s time for another Cece Book Highlight as I continue my 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge. One book a week. Growth, discipline, and expanding my mind all 2026 long. Let’s get into this week’s read.

This week I’m highlighting Gucci Mane’s newest book, The Autobiography of Gucci Mane: Episodes — and let me tell you, it was a good one.

Now, if you’ve been rocking with my reading journey, you know I read his first book, The Autobiography of Gucci Mane. That book gave us the raw, unfiltered foundation — his upbringing in Alabama and Atlanta, the trap music movement, the rise to fame, the legal troubles, and the hard truths that shaped him. It was honest. It was gritty. It was necessary.

Reading that first book is actually what made me want to pick up Episodes.

This new book dives deeper into the different phases of his life — almost like chapters of transformation. It doesn’t just focus on the music. It focuses on the man. The mindset shifts. The battles. The consequences. The growth.

One thing that really stood out to me is how openly mental health is addressed. And let’s be real — mental health is real. Especially in communities where it hasn’t always been talked about openly. Seeing someone with his level of fame acknowledge struggles, accountability, and change shows growth. And growth deserves recognition.

I also loved seeing the role of his wife in this chapter of his life. Having someone who doesn’t give up on you, who supports your betterment, and stands beside you while you rebuild — that’s powerful. It adds a layer of maturity and partnership that we don’t always see highlighted in celebrity stories.

From trap house beginnings to bestselling author, Gucci Mane’s story is truly one of reinvention. Atlanta history, hip-hop culture, personal struggle, redemption — it’s all there.

    I’m giving Episodes a solid 4 out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

If you’re a fan of hip-hop, personal growth stories, or real-life transformation journeys, I definitely recommend reading it. Actually — read both books. Start with the autobiography, then move into Episodes to really see the evolution.

That’s it for this week’s highlight! One book down, many more to go on this 52-book journey.

See you next Wednesday for another read 💛📖

    🍔 Weekly Adventures
This week’s adventures were a vibe! I hit up The Vortex with one of my besties—OMG, such a different spot with the skull décor and edgy atmosphere. The food was good, the customer service was on point, and they’re definitely known for their burgers. If you haven’t been, add it to your list.

🦕 We also went to Fernbank Museum—I’ve been many times (especially since I used to work there), but it was my bestie’s first visit, so we had to go. We checked out the IMAX film Wild Rescue, which focused on saving animals. It was sad and beautiful at the same time—very powerful. I’ll definitely be sending them a thank-you note for the amazing work they do to protect wildlife. If you haven’t been in a while, go check it out.

As always, stay tuned to Cece in the City—more adventures, reads, and vibes coming your way. ✨🏙️
