    Day 3 Sonnet

    Back in the day
When we was free to play
    Be a kid
    And not worry about anything

    Back in the day
    When we loved the sun
    Hear the ice cream truck
    Music playing
    People grilling
    And having fun

    Back in the day
    Oh what I miss
    When we didn’t
    Have to worry about
    Trafficking and craziness

    Can we get back at
    What it used to be
    Great times and
    Not so much negatively

    My sonnet today
    Is to go back
    In the day
    Bring back reunions
    Cookouts and have
    Special days

    Are you in
    Let me know
    This is my sonnet
    And new for sure
    Lets bring it back
Just like back in the day

  • First (Poetry)

    Title: First

    By: Cece Hymes

    First things first
    We put ourselves first
    Once you learn this step
    We get what we deserve
    And nothing less

    Happiness and joy
    Love and peace
    Thats what we need
    And what to believe

    I want you first
    To open your eyes
    Tell me what you see
    And whats your dream

    This is your year
    I want you to see
You can do anything that you want
    If you just believe

    But first thing first
    You got to start
    Remember everything
    Starts with you
    So just pursue

    This is my first poem
For the year and this is
    Just for you

  • About Me (Poetry)

    Title: About Me

    By: Cece Hymes

    What about me
    That you see
    That makes me special
    And unique

    Is it my mind
    Is it my body
    Is it my soul
Or is it just all 3

    I look in the mirror
And ask what it is about me
I look back and tell myself
    It’s everything

    Your mind is creative
    Your body is an art
    Your soul is deep
    And you ask
    What about me

    So what about me
    I am amazing
    I am beautiful
    And I am unique

    So what about me
If you want to know more
    Come and see
    It’s worth knowing
    What it is about me

    Day 19

    Q. How do you stay Inspired?

    A. For me I read a lot of motivating books. Listen to positive videos and podcasts. I stay inspired by seeing how people’s testimony brings them from a low place to a high place. I tell myself different affirmations to make myself go and not stop.
