  • Highlighting Darren Brand aka Big Baby

For the month of July, I’m highlighting some amazing celebrities I’ve met and the positive things I enjoy about them. We often hear the negative and the drama, but let’s shift the focus to the good stuff!

Day 28: I got the chance to meet Darren Brand, the hilarious comedian from Wild ‘n Out. I attended one of his shows at the City Winery, and he had me in stitches the entire time. His humor is infectious, and he really knows how to connect with his audience.

What I love most about Darren is his passion for fatherhood. He frequently mentions his son in his jokes, and it’s clear how much he enjoys teaching and spending time with him. It’s heartwarming to see a celebrity so dedicated to his family.

Darren has been touring and spreading laughter everywhere he goes. His ability to lift people’s spirits through comedy is truly a gift. So today, I want to give Darren Brand his flowers. Keep shining, keep making us laugh, and continue being a blessing to others!

    Stay funny, Darren! 🌟

    Interview with Raheem Holt

    By: Where It Begins

    Q. Tell everyone who you are and what you do?

    A. Well, I am Raheem Holt from Pulaski, Tennessee. It’s a very small town where we have about 3 red lights and before you know it, you’ll be in another city. I am a multi-talented man, but I’ll say I’m a comedian first, then an actor, host, writer and currently working towards being a producer as I do a little part-time work behind the scenes.

    Q. What made you want to be a comedian?

    A. As a child, I always made funny videos that would make everyone laugh. I would get so excited to make my family and friends laugh through the stories I told and just be myself. It wasn’t until later that I found out it was an actual gift of mine and there was a name for it. Looking back on the videos I made, I realized I had been a comedian the entire time.

    Q. Tell us one fun fact about yourself?

    A. A fun fact about me is before every performance I stretch and play video games. That’s my warmup. I can play video games for 20 hours nonstop and not get tired.
