  • Time Change, Women’s Day Celebrations, and a Weekend Around the City

    Hey readers!

Hope everyone remembered to set those clocks — time changed today, which always feels like the unofficial signal that spring adventures are around the corner. With the days getting longer and the weather warming up, it’s the perfect time to get out and explore the city.

First, I want to take a moment to say Happy Women’s Day to all the amazing ladies out there. You are strong, inspiring, creative, and truly appreciated. Women continue to shape communities, lead businesses, inspire families, and build powerful stories every single day. So today is a reminder to celebrate yourselves and each other.

A Taste of Italy in Decatur

This weekend I had the chance to try Sapori di Napoli, a cozy Italian spot located near Decatur Square. I ordered the pasta, and it definitely hit the spot. The flavors were rich, the portions were satisfying, and the customer service was welcoming.

Before the rain rolled in, I took some time to walk around Decatur Square. If you’ve never explored the area, it’s full of charm, history, local shops, and restaurants. Decatur itself dates back to the early 1800s and has grown into one of metro Atlanta’s most beloved walkable neighborhoods. From murals to music to food, it always has a vibrant energy that makes it a great place to spend an afternoon.

    Comfort Food Stop

Today’s quick food stop was Jason’s Deli. If you know, you know — their Plain Jane potato is a classic. It’s huge, fully loaded, and honestly one of those comfort meals that always satisfies. Definitely a go-to when you want something simple but filling.

    Celebrating a Friend

Also sending a happy belated birthday to one of my close friends, Renee. Hope you had an amazing celebration, lady! Friendship and community are such a big part of life’s journey, and it’s always important to celebrate the people who mean the most.

    A Special Keepsake

While I was out exploring, I stopped by DBS Sounds, a spot known for keeping the culture of physical music alive. While browsing, I came across a Young Bleed CD.

I had to get it. He was a good friend of mine who passed away loved his music, so it felt right to add it to my personal keepsake collection. Music has a way of holding memories — the songs, the moments, the people. Missing you, my friend.
