  • Movie Monday: A Little Love, A Lost Ring & An Unexpected Valentine 💌🍿

You already know what Mondays mean over here — movie review time! 🎬🍿 And since we are officially in the week of love with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I had to spotlight a sweet, feel-good romance that’s perfect for the season.

This week’s pick: An Unexpected Valentine 💌

    Now let’s get into it…

Hallmark’s An Unexpected Valentine made its way to Netflix in January 2026 and quickly became one of the platform’s top-viewed films — and honestly, I see why. There’s something about a chance encounter on Valentine’s Day that just feels magical.

The story follows Hannah (played by Hallmark queen Lacey Chabert) and Finn (Robert Buckley), who meet by complete coincidence on the most romantic day of the year. What starts as a random moment turns into a city-wide mission when they team up to return a lost engagement ring somewhere in New York City. Yes — an engagement ring on Valentine’s Day. Talk about pressure! 💍✨

As they race against time to save someone else’s love story, something sweet begins to unfold between them. Between the charming streets of NYC, heartfelt conversations, and those little “almost” moments, their unexpected connection slowly blossoms into something more.

It’s classic Hallmark — warm, light, romantic — but with a fun adventure twist that keeps it moving. I loved the chemistry, the cozy vibes, and of course the reminder that sometimes love finds you when you’re busy helping someone else.

You can stream it now on Netflix or catch it on Hallmark+ if you’re a true Hallmark movie marathoner.

    Cece On the Scenes rating?
    4 out of 5 hearts.

Super cute. Easy watch. Perfect for date night, girls’ night, or if you’re just in your soft love era this week.

Have you seen it yet? And what’s your favorite Valentine’s movie? 💕🍿

  • Happy Monday! 🎬✨ Cece On the Scenes: Bridgerton Is Back

    Happy Monday, beauties!

It’s time for Cece On the Scenes, and if you didn’t know… the new episodes of Bridgerton are officially out on Netflix!

Now listen — I don’t watch a lot of series.+ But Bridgerton? Oh, I make time for this one. And with a little snow falling this weekend, it was the perfect excuse to grab a blanket, light a candle, and press play.

    And baby… I loved it.

    A Little Bridgerton History 👑

For those who may be new to the ton, Bridgerton premiered on Netflix in December 2020. Produced by Shonda Rhimes, the show is based on Julia Quinn’s bestselling novels and is set during the Regency era in early 1800s London. But this isn’t your typical period drama — it’s bold, diverse, dramatic, romantic, and full of modern twists wrapped in corsets and crowns.

Each season centers around a different Bridgerton sibling navigating love, scandal, and society’s expectations — all while the mysterious Lady Whistledown keeps the tea hot.

Love, Temptation & “What If” Moments 💌

Now let’s talk about this season.

Watching these new episodes during the month of love hits differently. It makes you think…

Have you ever been with someone you knew you probably shouldn’t be with — but the connection was so strong, the chemistry so real, that you were tempted to try anyway?

That’s what I love about Bridgerton. It doesn’t just give us pretty gowns and ballroom dances. It gives us longing. It gives us tension. It gives us those moments where your heart and your head are not on the same page.

And let’s be honest — we’ve all had at least one “forbidden” situation or a love that didn’t quite fit the rules.

That’s what makes it relatable, even though it’s set in the 1800s.

    Cece’s Rating ⭐

For me, this season is a solid 4 out of 5. The storytelling keeps me locked in, the visuals are stunning, and the emotional build-up? Whew.

Now I’m just sitting here waiting on the next episode like the rest of the world.

Have you seen the new episodes yet? If not, check it out on Netflix. Perfect for a snowy weekend, date night, or a little self-care binge session.

Let me know your thoughts — are you here for the romance, the drama, or both?

    Until next time…

  • Final Destination Is Back—and Still Killing It (Literally)

Ever since the very first Final Destination hit theaters in 2000, I’ve been hooked. There’s just something about the franchise’s eerie premonitions, butterfly-effect chaos, and those jaw-dropping death scenes that keep you on the edge of your seat—and nervously side-eyeing everyday objects. So when I heard they were bringing the series back with a brand-new film, I had to see it. And let me tell you—it did not disappoint!

This latest installment takes everything we loved from the originals and cranks it up a notch. I still don’t know how the writers come up with these insane, unexpected ways for fate to strike, but they had me gasping, laughing, and clenching my seat the whole time. The creativity behind each scene is next-level—almost like Death itself has a twisted sense of humor.

What really blew my mind? I found out after watching it that there was a 4D version available. 4D! Can you imagine experiencing those suspenseful moments with moving seats, bursts of air, and maybe even a splash or two? If I had known, I would’ve definitely signed up for the full immersive ride. But even in 2D, the film was a wild, thrilling journey.

For me, it’s an easy 5 out of 5. The Final Destination franchise never fails—it knows exactly how to play with your fears and entertain you in the process. If you’re a longtime fan like I am, you’ll love this new chapter. And if you’re new to the series, buckle up—because fate doesn’t like to be cheated.

  • Netflix Review: Forever — A Raw, Real, and Emotional Journey Through Young Love

I recently had the chance to watch Forever on Netflix, and let me tell you—this series took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. It follows two teens, Justin and Keisha, who fall deeply for each other and go through all the highs, lows, and in-betweens of young love. Despite the chaos that life throws their way, they keep finding their way back to one another. That alone gave the show a beautiful “meant-to-be” energy I couldn’t look away from.

What stood out to me most was their honesty. Even when it hurt, they said what was on their hearts. That type of emotional vulnerability between friends-turned-lovers isn’t something you see often, especially portrayed this raw and real.

Justin, struggling to figure out life, reminded me of so many teens (and honestly, adults too) who just need a little push—and a solid village—to guide them. He had a loving two-parent household, yet he still carried the weight of not wanting to let his parents down. Sometimes parents don’t realize the pressure they unknowingly put on their kids to be perfect, and Forever really nailed that dynamic.

Keisha’s story hit me hard, too. Her mom worked two jobs just to keep her in school and give her a chance at a better future. Her dad showed love in his own, flawed way—but at the end of the day, their love for her was there. Her strength and determination to push through life’s rough patches made me root for her every step of the way.

There were emotional moments, tough conversations, and yes—a little suspense. But beneath it all, Forever was about love. The love between partners, the love of family, and the love of a community trying its best to support its own.

The series also reminded me that teens go through just as much as adults. They’re navigating emotions, expectations, and the struggle to define themselves in a complicated world. That’s why having a village—family, friends, people who truly care—is so important.

I loved this Netflix gem and honestly can’t wait for Season 2. If you’ve watched it, drop your thoughts below. And if you haven’t—go hit play, then come back and let’s chat. 💬🍿

  • 🎬 Movie Night Madness: Havoc Brought the Heat!

Starring Tom Hardy, Jessie Mei Li, Timothy Olyphant, and Forest Whitaker
    Rated: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Okay, listen up, action lovers—Havoc on Netflix is not one to sleep on. I finally carved out some time to watch it after my dad told me, “You’ve gotta check this one out.” And when my dad recommends something, especially an action flick, I listen. He knows his stuff.

Let me tell you—Tom Hardy does not disappoint (when does he ever?). From gritty alley chases to hand-to-hand combat that’ll make you tense up in your seat, Havoc brings the kind of chaotic energy that action fans live for. Jessie Mei Li held her own, Timothy Olyphant was smooth but dangerous, and Forest Whitaker gave it that veteran intensity we love to see.

I gave it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Why not 5? Well, I’m a tough critic when it comes to story flow—but the action sequences? Top tier. There’s something satisfying about a movie that doesn’t waste time getting to the grit, and Havoc dives right into the mess. It’s raw, it’s fast-paced, and it’s got just enough heart to keep you locked in.

After I finished it, I immediately texted my daughter and said, “You HAVE to watch this.” Guess what? She did—and yep, she agreed. We both said, “Now that’s how you do action.”

So, if you’re like me and love a good, gritty, adrenaline-pumping movie that keeps you glued to the screen, do yourself a favor and check out Havoc on Netflix. Get your popcorn, turn the volume up, and buckle in.

Now tell me—have you seen Havoc yet? What’s your favorite Tom Hardy role so far? Drop it in the comments! 🎥🍿
