I don’t know what their secret is, but their pancakes are fluffy, big, and absolutely delicious. I usually go there for breakfast, but they also serve dinner. I’ve tried a lot of their dishes, and the Shrimp Po’ Boy and hoagies are top-notch. Plus, the portions are generous, so you’ll have plenty to enjoy.

As May comes to an end, it’s been a month full of rain and reflection. This month is always bittersweet for me because of Mother’s Day. I didn’t write much because I tend to feel quite sad around this time. My mom is no longer with us, and I miss her dearly.
Despite the sadness, I had a wonderful day with my kids. They took me out to Six Feet Under in Atlanta, where we enjoyed a lovely meal on the rooftop. The weather was perfect, and we feasted on alligator, shrimp, and gumbo. It was a beautiful experience.
I want to take a moment to remind everyone to treasure your mom while she’s here. You never know when you’ll hear her voice or see her smile for the last time. Cherish your parents. I’m grateful for the memories and the time we shared. Every year, we write messages on balloons and release them for my mother and grandmother. It’s our way of honoring them and keeping their memories alive.
