A Mother-Daughter Day at Atlanta’s Balloon Museum!

What a whirlwind adventure my daughter and I had this Sunday! With both of us having a rare day off and her birthday month in full swing, I decided it was the perfect excuse to escape the confines of home. Off we trotted to the delightful Balloon Museum right here in Atlanta, and let me tell you, it was a blast!

From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a kaleidoscope of sights and sounds. Picture-perfect moments lurked around every corner, jSkyward Adventures: A Mother-Daughter Day at Atlanta’s Balloon Museum!”ust begging to be captured on camera. And oh, did we embrace every opportunity! But the real cherry on top? The ball pit room! Who can resist the urge to dive headfirst into a sea of balls? Certainly not us!

But wait, it gets better. Ever experienced the thrill of virtual reality? Well, let’s just say it’s an experience not to be missed. We laughed, we screamed, and we emerged victorious, feeling like superheroes in our own little world.

All in all, it was a day to remember, and we were both grateful for the spontaneous decision to break free from our routine. And let’s not forget the magic of Atlanta itself – a city bursting at the seams with endless possibilities. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love exploring new horizons and seizing every opportunity for adventure. Place: Zoo

Where: Atlanta Ga

By: Cece Hymes

Since I have been living in Atlanta, I have been going to the zoo every year. If you don’t know, let me share this secret with you. You can get free tickets to the zoo once a year at the library. Don’t say I never hooked you up lol.

So, me and the family went to the zoo. It was hot out there this year. The animals were just laying around because of the heat. I am thankful that the zoo has those fans and it’s a lot of trees that give a lot of shade. They had the part where you walk around like the aquarium part of it closed and the petting zoo closed. So, we missed out on those two parts of the zoo.

Every year I go I try to bring someone who has never been or hasn’t been since they were young. My aunt went with me this time and she enjoyed it. She Has a disability, but they did have the electric wheelchairs you could rent so she enjoyed that.

The zoo did have some new animals I didn’t see last time I went. I really enjoy going to the zoo in Atlanta so if you haven’t been make sure to check it out.

Starlight Drive-In Theater

Starlight Drive-In Theatre

Atlanta GA

Got a chance to do another thing off my bucket list in the Atlanta area. This was great. It shows multiple screen drive-ins located in Atlanta GA. You can see current and upcoming movies. I went to see John Wick, it was a little dark, but you can see everything that’s going on. The movie was great.

One thing I like about this place is that it’s not expensive, you can watch 2 movies for the price of one. Another thing I like is that you can hear it well in your car and bring your own snacks and can talk with other people in the car. The down part is that you have to keep your car running, you don’t want to run your battery dead.  They do sell popcorn and things.

It is definitely something to try out and different. I am glad I was able to try it out and knock something else off my bucket list. Make sure to check it out and let me know what you think. Also, follow me @Cece.atlbucketlist and @Cece.Atl.

A Night out in Atlanta GA

A Night Out

Atlanta, Ga

By: Cece Hymes

Went out and hung out with some friends for a birthday gathering in Atlanta. First time going on a party bus. We went on the Go Go Party bus. It was nice. The driver was really nice and on time. The Party bus had lights in it, music, and a pole if you want to dance. It holds about 25 people. I really enjoyed this.

The first step was to The Clutch Restaurant. It was a really nice restaurant in Atlanta Ga. The food was Great I ended up having the Shrimp and Grits which was good. We tried the wings which were good and the brussels sprouts. They have Live music playing after a certain time. It is classy and nice. The customer service was good.

The last place we ended up going was the Parlor Lounge which was cool. They played House music. The people were cool and it’s a nice laid-back place. It’s like a chill spot to go to and dance. The smell when you came in wasn’t too good but once in the back and down to the dance floor you couldn’t smell it.

It was a nice day to get out and enjoy the Atlanta area and to try and do some new things and try new places. If you tried these places let me know what you liked about them. Make sure to follow me at @Cece.atl and @Cece.atlbucketlist

Candytopia in Atlanta, GA

Place: Candytopia in Atlanta, Ga

By: Cece Hymes

I had a chance to go to Candytopia in Atlanta GA. This was different. It’s like a place of candland, you go through the different rooms and take great pics. It had a big thing with fake marshmallows that kids can jump in and play. It has different pictures of celebrities made out of candy. It’s like a candy playland. Kids would love it.

They have the room that you can go in and have to find clues. Another room is like a twirl like you falling. It’s just a different experience. If you like Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory then you would like Candytopia. It is something like that but a smaller version. I loved that movie growing up so you know I had to go and try this place out.

Candytopia goes to different cities so check your city and see if it’s one by you to try out. Take the family and go and take plenty of pictures. Enjoy the moment.

If you’ve ever been to Candtopia tell us what you thought about it.

Icon Park & Cocoa Beach in Orlando Fl

Icon Park & Cocoa Beach in Orlando FL

By: Cece Hymes

I had a chance to go with my family for my birthday to Orlando Fl. We got a chance to go to Cocoa Beach and it was a nice day out about an hour drive from the resort we stayed at. I didn’t know we had to go through so many tolls but once we got there it was so nice. The waves, the relaxation, the view and the best part it wasn’t crowded. The waves were hitting great and it wasn’t hot it was just right. We had a great time. I love the water and it’s just so peaceful to hear the waves look up at the sky and feel the breeze. I know I got a little tan, but it was very relaxing and nice.

We also had a chance to go to Icon Park where it is a tourist attraction. It has different little stores, gift shops, Ice cream parlors and more. It’s a nice little park to chill and relax and just walk around. Get some Cotton Candy, eat and spend time with family and friends. First time here and I enjoyed it.

Had a nice trip and can’t wait to go back and experience more of what Orlando has to offer. Had a great time.

Let me know some of your experiences in Orlando FL.
