  • His & Hers: Twists, Turns, and Why the Book Wins

    Hey readers 💛

If you’ve been rocking with me on this 52-book journey, you already know I love a good twist — and His & Hers delivered just that.

I recently watched the movie adaptation of His & Hers, and whew… the suspense had me hooked. The storyline pulled me in with its layered characters, hidden secrets, and those “wait… what just happened?!” moments. But you already know I couldn’t stop there. I had to go back and read the book.

    Now let’s talk about it.

The novel His & Hers by Alice Feeney was originally published in 2020 and quickly became one of her most talked-about psychological thrillers. Feeney is known for writing dual-perspective narratives that keep readers questioning everything — and everyone. This book follows a husband-and-wife duo, each telling their side of a dark, unraveling story. As the chapters alternate between “his” and “hers,” the truth becomes more complicated with every page.

While the movie was definitely good and full of suspense, the book hit differently. The character depth, the inner thoughts, the slow-building tension — it just adds layers you can’t always fit into a screen adaptation. There were differences between the two (as expected), but honestly? I enjoyed both for what they were.

The book had plenty of twists and turns — some I predicted, others completely blindsided me. That’s the kind of thriller I appreciate. I’m giving the book a solid 4 out of 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐.

And if you know me, you know I’m team “the book is usually better.” There’s just something about flipping pages and piecing the puzzle together yourself.

If you’re into psychological thrillers, unreliable narrators, and stories that keep you guessing until the very end — I definitely recommend adding His & Hers to your reading list.
