  • Scribble all over the page

    Scribble all over the page

Don’t take yourself so seriously that you forget what it feels like to belly laugh so hard that you cry. Leave the bed unmade and go play. Paint, get messy. Go outside barefoot.  Sketch outside of the lines in the brightest colored pencils that you can find. Watch movies that make you happy. Get lost in a good novel. Be a bit less serious, and enjoy what you have.

  • Prioritize

    Prioritize

If you don’t prioritize your own life, someone else will.

Prioritize what matters most. Decide how you want to spend your life– every moment.  Kiss your children,  love your friends,  speak kindly to strangers,  hold hands with your loved ones, and go for walks. These will be the things you remember when all you have left is today.

  • Breathe

Having the ability to breathe is what gives us life. And because breathing seems so natural for many of us, we forget the power our breath has. Take deep breaths often. • Watch Carefully

    Watch Carefully

Watch your thoughts, they become words

  • Mistakes Make You

    Mistakes Make You

You don’t make mistakes. Mistakes make you. Mistakes make you smarter. They make you stronger, and they make you more self-reliant.

  • You Are Not Your Hardships

    You Are Not Your Hardships

Difficult times do not define you. They develop your strength, and they hone your resilience.  Even in the worst of times, there is always a way forward, but first you must decide that you are more than your struggles. When you do, you will become wiser and more self-aware because of your experiences. Not in spite of them. You will also learn that you are so much more than any of your difficulties.

  • You are not invisible

    You are not invisible

You are heard, even if no one acknowledges what you said. You matter, even if you don’t speak the loudest. You are seen by others, even if you don’t realize it. You do matter, and you are not invisible.

  • You Will Become Whole Once Again

You will Become Whole Once Again

Difficult times will come, but they will also pass. You will fall apart sometimes because you are human. When those times come, grieve, cry, and feel whatever you feel for as long as you need to. And whenever you’re ready, remind yourself that you will become whole once again. Because you will.
