    Q. The story behind the last text you sent?

The last text I sent out was me sharing that I met my goal on Good Reads. I am a bookworm. I love reading and this year’s goal was for me to read 50 books this year. It is only August and I have met my goal already. I can only Imagine what it will be at the end of the year. None of these books are audio books that I listen to. I have read all these books. This has been a passion for me for years.

    Day 14

    Q. The weirdest thing about your family?

I would say the weirdest part is that they don’t act like family. We don’t speak to each other like that, hang out, and it is more like we are friends than family. The friends seem more like family than friends. I just don’t understand it. Back in the days we had reunions, times where we all got together to play cards, family trips and things like that. Now it’s like we do all that with our friends.

I would say that’s the weirdest thing about my family to me. We only reach out if we have questions or favors. Which it should be to tell secrets or to chat and things. You tell a secret to our family, and everyone will know. Nothing is kept just between the 2 of us.

    Day 13

    A Memorable Stranger

One day I was out with others, and we were feeding the homeless. We walked around the park we were at to let them know it was food up there and they could get some. Some were asleep and others were just laying there. This one man was on the bench and as we approached, he started talking to us about God and history. He had a book in his hand, and I just stood there and listened. He was very intelligent.

Even in the state he was in he seemed to be happy, smart, and still sharing the word. I would never forget that moment and that stranger because no matter what situation you are in you still have to believe and know that something good is going to happen. He made me feel good and since then I told myself if I can help or do something in the community at least every 3 months than I am.

With that being said everyone has a story and testimony, and you can never judge anyone. So that’s been my tradition to give if I can. This stranger opened my mind and heart in many ways, and he did not even know he did. His words and wisdom touched my soul.
