Sometimes I hate
Being Alone
Not having a companion
To love and to hold
Sometimes I love
Being Alone
Being independent
And being strong
Being Alone taught
Me lessons and
Brought me Blessings
Taught me peace
And gave me patience
Being alone is not that bad
But still want that other half
But when its time it will come
But for now
Going to love myself
And have some fun

Back in the day
When we was free to play
Be a kid
And not worry about anything
Back in the day
When we loved the sun
Hear the ice cream truck
Music playing
People grilling
And having fun
Back in the day
Oh what I miss
When we didn’t
Have to worry about
Trafficking and craziness
Can we get back at
What it used to be
Great times and
Not so much negatively

Is to go back
In the day
Bring back reunions
Cookouts and have
Special days
