    Coco Gauff is a professional tennis player. She is the youngest player ranked in the top 100 by the Women’s  Tennis Association and has a career high ranking of No. 47 in the world in singles, and No. 42 in doubles.

    Coco is very talented and works very hard. She has inspired so many people all over the world. She reminds me of Serena and Venus. Glad to see her out there being a young and talented tennis player. Follow your dreams and never give up.

    Simone Biles

    Simone Biles is an artistic gymnast. Her seven Olympic Medals for the most Olympic medals. Having won 25 world championship medals, she is the most decorated gymnast in the history of the Gymnastics World Championships and is considered by many sources to be the greatest gymnast of all time.

    Simone Biles was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Joe Biden.  She is amazing and very talented. She has inspired a lot of people all over the world.  I love to see her winning. Simone is also featured in multiple anthologies starring female athletes, including “She Persisted in Sports: American Olympians who Changed the Game”.

    Barry Sanders is a former professional football player. He established himself as one of the most elusive runners in the history of the NFL.  He was quick. He was awarded the Heisman Trophy and was unanimously recognized as an All-American.

    Barry Sanders won plenty of awards in his career. He was also inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He was also inducted into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame. Did you know he was ranked by NFL Network’s NFL top 10 series?

    Barry Sanders has inspired a lot of people all over the world. He is definitely a sports icon.  You can say this MVP was untouchable.

    Ozzie Smith is a former professional baseball player, nicknamed “The Wizard of Oz”, Ozzie played shortstop for the San Diego Padres and St. Louis Cardinals in Major League Baseball, winning the National League Gold Glove Award. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in his first year. He was also elected to the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame in the inaugural class.

    Ozzie Smith had a mean flip in baseball, he wasn’t called “The Wizard” for nothing. He inspired so many people all over the world. He had 13 Gold Glove awards. He is definitely a sports icon. Check out some of his baseball cards and some of his talent on YouTube. You would be amazed by his backflips and how good of a player he was.

    Kate Courtney is a cross-country mountain bike cyclist. She is also a two-time Us cross country (XC) national champion. Kate  won the gold medal in the women’s elite cross country race.

    Kate Courtney took part in the Cape Epic Stage race with her specialized teammate Annika Langvad where the teammate won seven individual stages and took the Overall team victory.

    She is definitely a sports icon and has to give her roses today. She inspired a lot of people all over the world.  She is very talented. She loves riding and racing, and it has prepared her for the world.  She makes me look at bike cyclists and see how powerful it is.  You can get dirty sometimes but it’s definitely worth it.

    Gail Devers is a retired track and field sprinter who competed in the 60 meters, 60m hurdles, 100m and 100m hurdles. She is definitely a sports icon. She has inspired people all over the world. Gail was inducted into the National Track and Field Hall of Fame.

    Here are some of my favorite quotes by her:

    “Remember all things are possible for those who believe”

    I want to give her roses today. Gail was always recognizable for her long nails, forcing her to use her fists at the starting line, rather than her fingers. Did you know she owns a resort in Guyana with her husband and runs her own charity foundation.

    Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a boxing promoter and professional boxer. He currently owns a team in the NASCAR Cup Series named The Money Team Racing.  He is undefeated in boxing, winning 15 major world championships from super featherweight to light middleweight.

    He is definitely one of the greatest boxers in the world. He has inspired so many boxers all over the world.  Here are some quotes I like by Floyd:

    “When you’re the best, you only want to surround yourself with the best”

    Floyd has won plenty of awards and he was inducted into the international Boxing Hall of Fame.  He is one of the highest paid athletes in the world. I got to give him his roses today. He has been teaching others that want to be a boxer, including his family. He is fast and great at what he does.

    Shaquille O’Neal, known as Shaq is a former professional basketball player who is a sports analyst on the television program inside the NBA. Shaq is definitely a sports icon.  He is also a businessman. He is a jack of all trades. That is Shaq.

    Shaq has won many medals and awards in the NBA. He also opened Shaq’s Big Chicken in Kansas City, Missouri. Did you know that Shaq is also a DJ? He owns Pizza Places, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and many more. Shaq does a lot in the community.

    Shaq seems to be a really cool and fun person that enjoys life. He has inspired so many people all over the world. Have to give him his roses today. This weekend was also his Birthday weekend here in Atlanta. So, shouting him out and wishing him a Happy Birthday and hope he has many more. Wishing him nothing but happiness and peace.

    Wilma Rudolph was a sprinter who overcame childhood polio and went on to become a world record holding Olympic champion and international sports icon in track and field. Her nicknames were “Skeeter” “The Flash” “The Track Star” and many more.

    Wilma was a sports icon of Track and Field who became a role model for female athletes worldwide. Wilma Rudolph was an enthusiastic advocate of Civil and Women’s Rights.  She also was the first American woman to win 3 Gold Medals in a single Olympics. She won her medals in the 100m dash. 200m dash, and the 4x100m relay race.

    Did you know Wilma was inducted into the National Track & Field Hall of Fame and was inducted into the international Sports Hall of Fame. She inspired a lot of people all over the world. She wore a brace for a twisted leg and still did not give up on her dreams.

    Florence Delorez Griffith Joyner, also known as Flo Jo, was a track and field athlete. She set world records in 1988 for the 100m and 200m. She was also known for her amazing fashion looks on the track.

    Flo Jo is considered the fastest woman of all time based on the fact of her records. She inspired so many athletes all around the world. Some of her quotes that I liked:

    “I believe in the impossible because no one else does”

    “When anyone tells me I can’t do anything. I’m just not listening anymore”

    “Nothing is going to be handed to you-you have to make things happen”
