    Gail Devers

    By: Cece Hymes

Gail Devers is a retired track and field sprinter who competed in the 60 meters, 60m hurdles, 100m and 100m hurdles. She is definitely a sports icon. She has inspired people all over the world. Gail was inducted into the National Track and Field Hall of Fame.

Here are some of my favorite quotes by her:

“Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try”

    “Keep your dreams alive”

“Remember all things are possible for those who believe”

I want to give her roses today. Gail was always recognizable for her long nails, forcing her to use her fists at the starting line, rather than her fingers. Did you know she owns a resort in Guyana with her husband and runs her own charity foundation.
