  • Happy Sunday, Friends ✨

It’s September — my favorite month (yes, my birthday month 🥳) — and I’m still riding the wave of excitement that comes with fresh beginnings and new vibes.

Today, our Cece Book Club gathered to dive into These Tangled Vines. Let me just say, this book was so good — the kind that makes you pause and think about the lengths people go for love. 💕 A heartwarming yet tangled story of love, loss, and betrayal, it reminded me that love can be both healing and complicated. If you’re looking for a new read, check it out here: These Tangled Vines.

    A Throwback with a Twist 🎶🍹

If you’re a drinker, you definitely want to check it out.

  • PopOut Magazine event!

Last Sunday was a perfect day to get out and experience something new, so my fam and I decided to step out and attend the PopOut Magazine event. It was my first time attending one of their events, and let me tell you—I was not disappointed! The energy was electric, the people were buzzing, and the vibe was nothing short of fabulous.

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of their newest cover featuring the one and only Erica Dixon, alongside Ryan Christopher and Mimi Faust. A huge congrats to all of them for landing the cover and for all the amazing accomplishments they’ve achieved. It’s always inspiring to see people shine in their respective fields, and this trio is definitely doing big things!

One of my favorite parts of the event was the incredible mix of people in attendance. The room was filled with influencers, creators, and movers and shakers from all over Atlanta. There’s something about the Atlanta networking scene that I absolutely love—it’s such a welcoming environment where you can meet new people, exchange ideas, and collaborate on different projects. Everyone was out, dressed to impress, and ready to connect.

For me, events like this are more than just social gatherings—they’re opportunities to grow, expand my circle, and soak in the creative energy that this city has to offer. I’m always looking to meet new people, and Atlanta is the perfect place for that. The conversations were flowing, and I left the event feeling inspired and recharged, with a few new connections to boot.

Overall, it was a fantastic event! I’m so glad we decided to pop out and experience it. If you haven’t been to a PopOut Magazine event yet, I highly recommend it. You never know who you’ll meet or what connections you’ll make. Plus, it’s always fun to celebrate the success of others and be in a room filled with such positive, creative energy.

Looking forward to the next one!

  • The Journey of “Where It Begins” Magazine 1

This month, I’m excited to share the magazines I’ve created over the years. “Where It Begins” magazine started six years ago with a simple mission: to give people a platform to share their stories and journeys. My motto is that everyone has a testimony and a story worth sharing.

Our very first issue featured young Niyah on the cover, who is a talented rapper, songwriter, and actress, and the daughter of Tamika Scott from the R&B group Xscape. Inside this inaugural issue, we highlighted incredible talents like Designa Apparel, Yblimited, JC aka Triple Threat, Rochele Monique, and Gifted Apparel NYC.

The experience was a learning curve, but I’m grateful for everyone who contributed and shared their career journeys. Each story added depth and inspiration to our publication.

As “Where It Begins” continues to grow, I remain committed to our mission of storytelling and empowerment. Stay tuned as we continue to highlight amazing people and their journeys!

  • “I Hope You Fail”: A Journey of Inspiration with Pinky Cole

In a world brimming with stories of triumph and resilience, there are those rare gems that not only captivate but also leave an indelible mark on your soul. Recently, I had the privilege of diving into the pages of Pinky Cole’s book, “I Hope You Fail,” and let me tell you, it was nothing short of a transformative experience.

The book is a raw and unfiltered exploration of Pinky’s journey, a testament to her unwavering determination and unyielding spirit. As I turned the pages, I found myself immersed in a narrative that resonated with authenticity and vulnerability. “I Hope You Fail” is not just a book; it’s a mirror reflecting the highs and lows of the human experience, an intimate conversation with success and failure.

Pinky Cole’s words are not merely ink on paper; they are a lifeline for dreamers and doers alike. Her story is a beacon of hope, reminding us that the path to success is often paved with obstacles, setbacks, and challenges. It’s a narrative that whispers, “You are not alone in your struggles, and your journey is valid.”

Having the opportunity to feature Pinky Cole in my magazine, “Where It Begins,” was a privilege beyond measure. In our interview, she shared insights into her world, providing a glimpse into the relentless work ethic and passion that fueled her success. Her story serves as a lighthouse, guiding aspiring entrepreneurs through the storms of self-doubt and uncertainty.

What struck me most about Pinky Cole is her authenticity. She doesn’t shy away from the difficulties she faced; instead, she embraces them as integral chapters in her story. Her resilience in the face of adversity is a source of inspiration, a reminder that success is not a destination but a journey, rife with both victories and defeats.

As I closed the final pages of “I Hope You Fail,” I felt a renewed sense of purpose and a profound reassurance that I am on the right path. Pinky Cole’s words echo in my mind like a mantra – a gentle nudge urging me to persevere, to stay committed, and, above all, to never give up.

In a world inundated with success stories that often seem out of reach, “I Hope You Fail” is a grounding force. It is a testament to the beauty of embracing failure as a stepping stone toward success. To anyone facing challenges on their journey, let Pinky Cole’s story be a guiding light, a reminder that the pursuit of dreams is a noble endeavor, and every stumble is a dance step toward greatness.

“I Hope You Fail” is more than a book; it’s a philosophy, a source of strength, and a powerful reminder that, in the grand tapestry of life, each thread of failure weaves a story of triumph waiting to unfold.

  • A Night of Laughter at the City Winery: Unforgettable Moments with Wild ‘N Out Stars

Jan 9th, my homegirl and I embarked on a quest for laughter, and our destination was the City Winery in Atlanta. Little did we know that this evening would be filled with uproarious moments, courtesy of the comedic talents of Darren Brand, Tyler Chronicles, and J McNutt – all familiar faces from the hit show Wild ‘N Out.

The City Winery, known for its unique blend of fine wines and live entertainment, set the stage for a night that promised both sophistication and belly-aching laughter. As we settled into our seats, anticipation hung in the air, and we knew we were in for a treat.

J McNutt took the stage first, He brought a different flavor to the comedy lineup. His delivery was smooth, and his jokes were laced with a unique perspective on life. McNutt’s performance was the perfect cherry on top of an already fantastic comedic sundae.

Darren Brand, with his infectious energy and quick-witted humor, took the stage 2nd. His comedic prowess, honed on the Wild ‘N Out battlefield, had the entire audience in stitches. From hilarious anecdotes about his own life to playful banter with the crowd, Brand’s performance was a rollercoaster of laughter that left us gasping for breath.

Tyler Chronicles, another Wild ‘N Out alum, followed suit and took the comedy baton. His unique style, a blend of observational humor and spot-on impersonations, resonated with the diverse audience. What stood out, however, was not just his on-stage antics but also the insightful interview he recently gave for my magazine, “Where It Begins.”

In the interview, Chronicles delved into his journey, sharing anecdotes from his rise in the comedy world. Hearing his experiences first hand added an extra layer of appreciation to his on-stage performance. It was like getting a backstage pass to the mind of a comedic genius.

The laughter echoed through the walls of the City Winery, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie. It wasn’t just a show; it was a shared experience, a collective release of stress and tension through the healing power of laughter.

As the curtain closed on the night’s performances, my homegirl and I couldn’t help but reminisce about the hilarious moments that unfolded before us. It was more than just a great night out; it was a reminder of the importance of laughter in our lives.

But the night didn’t end there. Tyler Chronicles & Darren Brand, being the gracious and approachable artist that they are, took a moment to connect with fans. Their humility and genuine appreciation for their supporters shone through as they graciously posed for photos..

In the end, our quest for laughter at the City Winery turned into a memory we’ll cherish forever. Darren Brand, Tyler Chronicles, and J McNutt not only delivered a fantastic show but also reminded us of the power of laughter to bring people together. Here’s to more nights filled with joy, camaraderie, and, of course, laughter – the best medicine for the soul.
