  • Highlighting Tyler Chronicles

For the month of July, I want to shine a spotlight on some amazing celebrities I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and share the positive things I admire about them. We often hear about the drama and negativity, but let’s focus on the good vibes!

    Day 7: Tyler Chronicles

I had the fantastic opportunity to meet Tyler Chronicles in Atlanta when I went to support one of his comedy shows at City Winery, and it was an absolute blast! Tyler is a multi-talented writer, actor, and comedian. He’s written for the Social Media Awards, BET Hip Hop Awards, Love & Hip Hop, Wild ‘N Out, and more.

I’ve been following him for a while and admire his relentless drive and willingness to try new things. He’s always all smiles when you see him, spreading joy and laughter to everyone he encounters. His close bond with his mom, and the love he shows her, is incredibly heartwarming and speaks volumes about his character.

Tyler also provides a platform for other comedians, helping them shine and grow. Today, I want to give him his flowers and let him know how much he inspires people, including myself. Tyler, you are awesome—never change and keep doing what you do!

Make sure to check him out for a guaranteed good laugh, and don’t forget to watch some of his appearances on Wild ‘N Out. You won’t regret it!

    Interview with: Nephtalie Hyacinthe

    By: Where It Begins

    Q. Tell everyone who you are and what you do.

    A. I am a penned and published writer, a public relations strategist and President of Talie & Co. Strategist PR Agency.

    Q. How would you define motherhood in your own words?

    A. Motherhood is a gift to love someone sacrificially and unconditionally. The beauty of motherhood is in the process because the mother is learning at the same time the child is learning.

    Q. If you could choose one parenting mantra for yourself, what would it be?

    A. I will always apologize to my child when I am wrong because this is the strongest weapon that I am giving her.

  • Uphill by Jemele Hill

    Book: Uphill

    Author: Jemele Hill

    By: Cece Hymes

I got a chance to read this book about Jemele Hill about her life and how she got to where she is today. I didn’t know much about who she was. I have seen her a couple of times on social media. I love reading people’s bio and learning about their life. What interests me about her is that she was in journalism and sports.

I am a journalist and getting more into sports. So I wanted to get to know more about her story. The book was very interesting. She went through a lot growing up and watching her parents go through hard times. I like that she speaks her mind freely. She doesn’t fake it for anyone. She always liked to write but never thought she would be into writing for a living. She has been on ESPN and other positions as a reporter.

We all go through things growing up and it’s not where you have been but it’s where you are going and what you decide to change in your life. I am glad she didn’t let her childhood put her in a bad place and that she was aware and kept going in life. This book was great and now that I know more about her life and journey, she has gained a fan with me. I did take some notes and tips on growing and getting more involved with sports and events.

Make sure to check the book out and let me know what you think.

    Interview with Emmrose

    By: Where It Begins

    Q. Tell us who Emmrose is?

    A. I’m a 16-year-old high school student in New York City. I’m just another kid at school during the day. I’m a vocal major at LaGuardia High School so you would hear me singing in Italian or some other language if you saw me there.

    Q. Who or What inspired you to be an artist?

    A. Nothing, nobody! Writing music came naturally to me. I loved pop music just like everyone else, but I really didn’t have anyone to say to me oh I want to be like them or sound like they do.

    Q. Who is your favorite artist?

    A. At the moment, I’m really loving Clairo. She’s so inspiring!

  • Interview with Author Elle Spencer

    Interview with Elle Spencer

    By: Where It Begins

    Quote from Elle Spencer

“One of my best experiences happened in 2015 when I signed an official marriage certificate.”

    Q. Tell us more of who Elle Spencer is?

    A. I come from a large, close-knit family. We lived near the Rocky Mountains so my siblings and I spent our youth skiing, snowmobiling, and sledding down whatever hill we could find. It was a great place to grow up, but I prefer a warmer climate now which is a good thing since I live in California. I’ve had all kinds of jobs-massage therapist, frame builder- but nothing that was ever a passion until the writing came along. Now, I’m a full-time writer of lesbian romance. Still hard to believe that’s my job.

    Q. Tell us about the book 30 Dates in 30 Days?

    A. 30 Dates in 30 Days is my third full-length novel. It’s an irreverent humorous (I hope) look at dating when you’re trying to find “The One.” The main character is Veronica, an overworked attorney who’s trying to make partner and be married by the time she’s thirty-five. She’s about to achieve her professional goals, but her love life is pretty much non-existent. Her assistant Bea intervenes and sets Veronica up on blind dates that she’s chosen for her through a dating app. Since Veronica wants to be efficient about everything in her life, Bea suggests 30 dates in 30 days. Of course, chaos ensues because how could that ever go well? I think it’s a fun read, but I’m biased.

    Q. What are some of your other hobbies?

    A. I love to travel. I love to read. I love a good Netflix binge. Since my wife and I bought a home last year, most of my spare time is spent on home improvement projects. Browsing in Home Depot is my new hobby, or lowes, or Ikea. You get the picture.

    Q. What advice can you give to other authors?

    A. If you think you have a compelling story to tell, then get it out there. I think that’s especially important where voices are underrepresented. So, in my case, that’s LGBTQ, but the same is true for people of color and people of different socio-economic or cultural backgrounds. It’s so important that we all get our stories out there whether it’s romances, suspense thrillers, mysteries or any other genre. The more the better.
