  • Highlighting Anna Black

This month, I’m thrilled to highlight and support some incredible authors I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, along with their captivating books that have become some of my favorites. As a dedicated bookworm, there’s nothing quite like the joy of discovering a new story and the person behind it, especially when you get to connect with the authors and learn about their unique journeys.

One book that truly resonated with me was The Perfect Love Storm by the talented Anna Black. This novel swept me off my feet with its compelling characters and the way it navigates the complexities of love and relationships. Every chapter was a delightful mix of emotions, making it impossible to put down. But what made this experience even more special was the opportunity to feature Anna in our Cece Book Club. During our discussion, we delved into the inspiration behind the story, the challenges she faced while writing it, and the messages she hopes readers take away.

Supporting authors is something I’m deeply passionate about, and getting to know them on a personal level through interviews and book club discussions is such a rewarding experience. Anna’s interview was one for the books—pun intended! Her insights into the writing process and the themes of her novel were not only inspiring but also a reminder of why I love supporting authors through platforms like Cece Book Club.

  • The Journey of “Where It Begins” Magazine 1

This month, I’m excited to share the magazines I’ve created over the years. “Where It Begins” magazine started six years ago with a simple mission: to give people a platform to share their stories and journeys. My motto is that everyone has a testimony and a story worth sharing.

Our very first issue featured young Niyah on the cover, who is a talented rapper, songwriter, and actress, and the daughter of Tamika Scott from the R&B group Xscape. Inside this inaugural issue, we highlighted incredible talents like Designa Apparel, Yblimited, JC aka Triple Threat, Rochele Monique, and Gifted Apparel NYC.

The experience was a learning curve, but I’m grateful for everyone who contributed and shared their career journeys. Each story added depth and inspiration to our publication.

As “Where It Begins” continues to grow, I remain committed to our mission of storytelling and empowerment. Stay tuned as we continue to highlight amazing people and their journeys!

  • Discovering Cuckoo’s Cafe: A Whimsical Delight in Duluth!

    Hey everyone!

This July, I’ve been on a culinary adventure across Atlanta, and today’s stop is an absolute gem: Cuckoo’s Cafe in Duluth. Let me just say, OMG! This place is beyond cute and absolutely charming.

My daughter and I had the best time ever. The moment we walked in, we were enchanted by the whimsical decor – it’s like stepping into a fairy tale. The ambiance is perfect for kids (and adults who are kids at heart).

We decided to try the chicken sandwich, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Juicy, flavorful, and just the right amount of crunch – it was a hit! We paired it with some delightful drinks, and it was a meal to remember.

But the fun didn’t stop there. My daughter, a huge Hello Kitty fan, was over the moon to find Hello Kitty keyrings and plushies at the cafe. Her smile was priceless, and she couldn’t resist getting one.

I can’t get over how cute and well-decorated Cuckoo’s Cafe is. From the colorful walls to the adorable seating arrangements, every corner is Instagram-worthy. Plus, it’s spacious with a lovely patio – perfect for those sunny days.

If you have little ones or just want to enjoy a delightful cafe experience, Cuckoo’s Cafe is a must-visit. Trust me, you’ll fall in love with it just like we did.

    Happy exploring!

  • Highlighting Jerome Baker

For the month of July, I’m highlighting some amazing celebrities I’ve met and the positive things I enjoy about them. We often hear the negative and the drama, but let’s shift the focus to the good stuff!

Day 31: I had the incredible opportunity to meet Jerome Baker, the linebacker for the Seahawks, and he was really cool and nice! Jerome is not only excelling on the field but also making a big impact off the field. He’s active in the community and opening new businesses, showing his dedication to giving back.

Jerome used to play for the Miami Dolphins, and it’s fantastic to see him doing big things and enjoying life. Today, I want to give him his flowers and tell him to keep inspiring people through football and mentoring the youth. Keep up the great work, Jerome!

  • Crumbl

    Hey dessert lovers!

As we wrap up our July culinary journey, I saved the sweetest spot for last. Day 31 is all about dessert, and what better place to end than Crumbl?

When Crumbl first hit the scene, everyone was buzzing about their colossal, sugary cookies. And trust me, they live up to the hype! Each visit to Crumbl is a delightful surprise with a rotating menu of different cookie flavors that are as delicious as they are unique.

Whether you have a sweet tooth or just want to treat yourself, Crumbl is a must-visit. Their cookies are the perfect blend of big, bold flavors and sugary goodness.

So, if you’re in Atlanta and in need of a dessert fix, head over to Crumbl. You won’t be disappointed!

    Stay sweet, Atlanta!

For the month of July, I’m highlighting some amazing celebrities I’ve met and the positive things I enjoy about them. We often hear the negative and the drama, but let’s shift the focus to the good stuff!

Day 30: I got the chance to meet the fabulous Mz Shyneka, a radio and TV personality, and let me tell you, she’s a gem! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her a few times, especially when I was interning at a radio station. She’s always been a sweetheart and a true inspiration.

Mz Shyneka is constantly active in the community, always doing something positive. She’s got some great back-to-school events coming up and is always around, making a difference.
