This week for Cece on the Scene, I had to tap into my love for action movies—and baby, this one did NOT disappoint 😌🔥
I checked out Apex starring Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton, and let me tell you… it had me locked in from start to finish.
🍿 First Impressions
Right off the bat, the movie pulls you into a high-stakes, intense world where survival is EVERYTHING. The action scenes? Whew. Top tier. Explosions, chases, tension—you name it, they delivered.
😳 The Moments…
Now listen… there were definitely some moments where I was like:
“WOW 😮”
…and then immediately after…
“EWWWW 😬”
If you know, you know 😂
That’s what made it fun though—it kept me reacting the whole time. No boring scenes, no dragging. Just straight adrenaline.
🔥 The Characters
One thing I’ll say… that man?? CRAZY. Like next-level, unhinged, “what are you DOING?!” type of energy. But honestly, that’s what made the movie even better. You need that kind of wild character in an action film to keep things interesting.

I’m giving Apex a solid 4 out of 5 ⭐
Why not a 5?
It was great, but a few moments had me side-eyeing just a little bit 👀—but overall, definitely worth the watch.
