This week, I checked out Little Brother, the new Netflix comedy starring John Cena and Eric André. After hearing so much buzz about it climbing to the top of Netflix’s charts, I had to see what all the excitement was about.

Did I laugh? Absolutely! There were definitely several funny moments throughout the movie that had me smiling and laughing out loud. While it wasn’t my favorite comedy of the year, it was still an entertaining watch if you’re looking for something lighthearted and don’t mind a little over-the-top humor.
The story follows Rudd (John Cena), a successful real estate agent who has his life perfectly organized until his unpredictable younger brother, Marcus (Eric André), suddenly reappears and throws everything into chaos. The two couldn’t be more different, and that’s exactly where the comedy shines.
One of the movie’s biggest strengths is the chemistry between John Cena and Eric André. Cena continues to prove he’s become one of Hollywood’s most entertaining comedic actors, while André brings his signature unpredictable style that keeps you wondering what crazy thing will happen next.
It’s no surprise that Little Brother has quickly become the #1 movie on Netflix just days after its release. The film knocked Voicemails for Isabelle out of the top spot, making it one of Netflix’s biggest surprise comedy hits of the summer. Viewers looking for a fun, easy-to-watch comedy have clearly embraced this wild family adventure.
The movie is packed with awkward family moments, outrageous situations, and plenty of laugh-out-loud scenes. Not every joke landed for me, which is why it earned a solid 3 out of 5 instead of a higher score, but it still delivered enough laughs to make it worth watching.
