I haven’t given a book 5 stars in a while, but this one deserved every single one. From the first chapters, I was hooked. It was emotional, heartbreaking, powerful, and real all at once. One of those books you tell yourself you’ll read “just one more chapter” — and suddenly it’s midnight.
What made this story stand out to me was how deeply it explored justice, pain, and human emotions. Being a judge isn’t just about making decisions; it’s about holding people’s lives in your hands every day. This book really opened my eyes to how heavy that responsibility must feel. Every person in the courtroom has a story, trauma, or truth that shaped them, and sometimes the lines between right and wrong are not as simple as people think.
The story also touched on something heartbreaking but real — how violence against women has existed for years and how deeply it impacts lives, especially at a young age.
