Sometimes when you’re running around handling business and life, you have to pause for a moment and enjoy some time with family.
That’s exactly what happened on Monday.
While I was out and about, I had the chance to slow down for a little while and sit down and eat with my daughter. And since I’m always looking for new places to explore, I figured this was the perfect opportunity to try somewhere I had been meaning to check out.
So we headed to The Grove Taqueria in Snellville.
And let me just say… Snellville is changing! 👀
🏙️ Snellville Is Building Up
If you’ve been around Snellville lately, you may have noticed there’s been a lot of development happening around the city.
Snellville has long been known as a suburban community in Gwinnett County, but the city has been working toward creating more of a destination-style atmosphere where people can eat, gather, shop, and enjoy their community without having to leave the area.
One of the developments helping bring that vision to life is The Grove at Town Center.
And that’s where I discovered my latest restaurant adventure.
🌮 Welcome to The Grove Taqueria
The Grove Taqueria is a modern Mexican restaurant located at The Grove at Town Center in Snellville.
From the moment we arrived, I really liked the atmosphere.
The welcome was warm, the restaurant was inviting, and the whole space had a nice modern feel.
And let’s talk about the outdoor seating!
I immediately thought:
“I need to come back at night.” 😂
Because I could already picture it.
The lights come on, the weather cools down, you’re sitting outside enjoying some good food, and the atmosphere turns into a whole vibe.
That’s definitely something I want to experience.
✨ Inside, Outside & A Little Bit of Everything
The inside of the restaurant was just as nice.
It had a comfortable, modern atmosphere that made it a great place to sit down and enjoy a meal.
But what really stood out to me was the overall experience.
Sometimes you can go somewhere with beautiful decor and great food, but the customer service isn’t there.
That wasn’t the case here.
The customer service was great.
And for me, that matters.
You can have a beautiful restaurant, but when the staff is welcoming and attentive, it makes the experience even better.
🍽️ So How Was the Food?
Of course, we came to eat!
And yes… my food was good! 😋
We also decided to add dessert because, well…
Why not?! 😂
You can’t always end the meal with just the main course. Sometimes dessert is part of the experience!
Overall, everything came together nicely—the food, the atmosphere, the service, and most importantly, getting to spend some time with my daughter.
❤️ A Mother-Daughter Moment
One of my favorite parts of this adventure wasn’t even the restaurant itself.
It was being able to sit down and eat with my daughter.
Life can get busy. I’m always running around, working, attending events, creating content, exploring Atlanta, and checking something off my never-ending list.
So sometimes it’s nice to just sit down, eat, talk, laugh, and enjoy the moment.
Those simple moments become memories too.
🌙 I Definitely Want to Go Back
Would I go back?
Absolutely!
But next time, I’m thinking evening visit.
I want to see the outdoor area when the lights are glowing, the temperature has cooled down, and the whole place has that nighttime energy.
I already have a feeling it’s going to be a vibe!
And that’s one of the things I love about exploring new places. Sometimes you find somewhere that makes you think, “Okay, I need to come back and experience this differently.”
The Grove Taqueria definitely gave me that feeling.

A mother-daughter lunch.
A place you’ve driven past but never stopped to try.
There are always new things to discover, and I’m excited to keep exploring.
Snellville is definitely building up, and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next!
