  • Discovering Cuckoo’s Cafe: A Whimsical Delight in Duluth!

    Hey everyone!

This July, I’ve been on a culinary adventure across Atlanta, and today’s stop is an absolute gem: Cuckoo’s Cafe in Duluth. Let me just say, OMG! This place is beyond cute and absolutely charming.

My daughter and I had the best time ever. The moment we walked in, we were enchanted by the whimsical decor – it’s like stepping into a fairy tale. The ambiance is perfect for kids (and adults who are kids at heart).

We decided to try the chicken sandwich, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Juicy, flavorful, and just the right amount of crunch – it was a hit! We paired it with some delightful drinks, and it was a meal to remember.

But the fun didn’t stop there. My daughter, a huge Hello Kitty fan, was over the moon to find Hello Kitty keyrings and plushies at the cafe. Her smile was priceless, and she couldn’t resist getting one.

I can’t get over how cute and well-decorated Cuckoo’s Cafe is. From the colorful walls to the adorable seating arrangements, every corner is Instagram-worthy. Plus, it’s spacious with a lovely patio – perfect for those sunny days.

If you have little ones or just want to enjoy a delightful cafe experience, Cuckoo’s Cafe is a must-visit. Trust me, you’ll fall in love with it just like we did.

    Happy exploring!

  • Crumbl

    Hey dessert lovers!

As we wrap up our July culinary journey, I saved the sweetest spot for last. Day 31 is all about dessert, and what better place to end than Crumbl?

When Crumbl first hit the scene, everyone was buzzing about their colossal, sugary cookies. And trust me, they live up to the hype! Each visit to Crumbl is a delightful surprise with a rotating menu of different cookie flavors that are as delicious as they are unique.

Whether you have a sweet tooth or just want to treat yourself, Crumbl is a must-visit. Their cookies are the perfect blend of big, bold flavors and sugary goodness.

So, if you’re in Atlanta and in need of a dessert fix, head over to Crumbl. You won’t be disappointed!

    Stay sweet, Atlanta!

Continuing my July journey of highlighting some of Atlanta’s best restaurants, today’s spotlight is on Day 29: Rock Steady. This Caribbean gem is truly a standout!

Rock Steady isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience. The interior is chic and stylish, making it a perfect spot for a date night or a night out with friends. The cozy atmosphere, combined with unique decor, sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.

But let’s talk about the food. Bursting with vibrant Caribbean flavors, each dish is a delight. And to top it off, they have a live DJ spinning tunes that add to the lively and inviting ambiance. It’s a feast for both your taste buds and your ears!

If you find yourself in Atlanta, you’ve got to check out Rock Steady. Great food, great music, and great vibes – it’s the perfect recipe for a fantastic time.

  • Chick’nCone

    Hey foodies!

As part of my July journey to highlight some amazing restaurants and food spots in Atlanta, today’s adventure takes us to Day 28 at Chick’nCone. Let me tell you, this place is a game-changer!

Imagine this: crispy, tender chicken served in a waffle cone. Sounds different, right? But trust me, it’s a flavor explosion. The combination is unexpectedly delicious, and the sauces add an extra kick that takes it to the next level.

The atmosphere inside Chick’nCone is cozy and welcoming, with a modern twist. Plus, they have a lovely patio area where you can enjoy your meal al fresco. It’s a perfect spot for a casual hangout or a quick bite.

I never thought I’d be eating chicken out of a cone, but I’m so glad I did. If you’re looking for something unique and tasty, Chick’nCone is a must-try. Embrace the adventure and treat yourself to this delightful and inventive dish!

    Happy eating!

  • Book Blog: Bitter and Sweet by Rhonda McKnight

    Blog Written by Cece Hymes

    Hello, book lovers!

I’m thrilled to share my thoughts on Bitter and Sweet by Rhonda McKnight. This is the second book I’ve read by this author, and I was so excited to dive into it, especially after attending her book signing. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint!

The story centers around two sisters, Mariah and Sabrina, who seem to embody the title perfectly—one is bitter, and one is sweet. Despite their differences and the years they’ve spent apart, they find themselves back home, helping their grandparents with their restaurant. Through this, they discover their unique talents and begin to heal old wounds.

Mariah is grappling with bitterness from past hurts and is finally seeking the help she needs. I appreciate how the book highlights the importance of therapy—something many people shy away from but can be incredibly beneficial. Mariah’s skills in business and marketing shine through as she helps with the restaurant’s success.

On the other hand, Sabrina is dealing with her own life struggles, living in her van and ensuring her daughter is well taken care of. Her talents in baking and cooking bring a special touch to the restaurant. Despite their struggles, the sisters gradually open up to each other, rebuilding their bond and becoming close once again.

A particularly beautiful aspect of the book is the discovery of their great-great-grandmother’s letters. These letters reveal the tragedies and struggles she endured, creating a connection between the past and present that both sisters can relate to. I loved how this historical element added depth to the story, blending seamlessly with the narrative.

Attending the book signing was a fantastic experience, and I even got my own mason jar from the author! Reading the book beforehand made this little token even more meaningful.

Rhonda McKnight has a unique talent for weaving history, food, and personal growth into her stories. The town’s history and the family’s legacy add richness to the plot, making it a truly engaging read.

Bitter and Sweet is a heartwarming story about family, forgiveness, and finding one’s place in the world. I can’t wait to read more books by Rhonda McKnight. If you haven’t picked up this book yet, I highly recommend it!

    Happy reading!

  • Red Robin

For the month of July, I’m spotlighting some of the fantastic restaurants and food spots I’ve visited in Atlanta. Today, on Day 26, let’s dive into my delicious experience at Red Robin!

I’ve been to Red Robin countless times, and it never disappoints. One of the best things about Red Robin is their unlimited fries—seriously, you can never go wrong with endless fries! Every visit leaves me full and satisfied.

Their burgers are a standout—juicy, flavorful, and always cooked to perfection. And let’s not forget about their milkshakes, which are absolutely divine. They make the perfect treat to wash down those tasty burgers and fries.

Red Robin is a great spot to visit with family. It’s a place where everyone can find something they love, and the fun atmosphere adds to the overall dining experience.

If you haven’t been to Red Robin yet, it’s time to change that. Go for the unlimited fries, stay for the amazing burgers and milkshakes, and enjoy a fantastic meal with your loved ones.

  • Bar Vegan

For the month of July, I’m highlighting some of the incredible restaurants and food spots I’ve explored in Atlanta. Today, on Day 25, I’m excited to share my experience at Bar Vegan!

I’ve been to Bar Vegan multiple times, and each visit is always a delight. Located at Ponce City Market, this place has a cool, modern vibe that makes dining here a real treat. The interior is chic and welcoming, perfect for a night out.

On my latest visit, I decided to try their Philly and tots, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. As someone who never thought I’d enjoy vegan food, Bar Vegan proved me wrong in the best way possible. The flavors were spot-on, and the food was incredibly satisfying.

Atlanta is a food lover’s paradise, offering an endless variety of cuisines and unique dining experiences. Bar Vegan is a shining example of this culinary diversity. If you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend checking it out. Plus, they have a live DJ on certain nights, adding an extra layer of fun to your dining experience.
